Hi! We need to raise $2000 in funding so we can finally complete the audio post production and grading for our short film, "The Car". This will mean that the film can finally be sent out to Film Festivals and the hard work of all those involved can be rewarded by seeing the film released.
"The Car" is an independent short film shot in the UK. The film starts with our main character driving down a dark country road at night in an old Ford Cortina, when he hears a banging noise. He pulls over, to discover in the trunk a man, bound and gagged, who he has never seen before.
A lot of people put in some seriously hard work for the project and we really want to be able to send the film out for everyone involved.
Our very talented actors included Adrian Annis, Alex Humes, Alex Papadakis, Ryan Wilson, Richard De Lisle and Julie Hoult. They all give it their all to produce excellent performances despite suffering the freezing cold of 4 all-night shoots to get the shots!
The wonderful cinematography is down to Adam Etherington, D.O.P. and an excellent camera team and crew. In addition we had a lot of extremely dedicated and hard working students working on the project and many of the people involved have gone on to do lots of other great projects.
Our Producer, Nathasha Solari also did an incredible job getting us the location of Millbrook proving ground in the UK to film on and the Ford Cortina's that feature heavily in the film.
After some post production issues Farrokh Kouchekpour stepped in, took over the reins and produced a really top notch edit that finally brought out the potential of the film.
All we are missing now is some crucial post production sound. Without it the film can't be shown. This includes getting actors in to a recording studio for ADR (recording their voices to the images), creating Foley - all those sounds like car doors slamming, feet walking that need to be created - as well as sound design. In addition to this we need to grade the images.
For those of you who help back the project you will receive some great rewards which you can see beside the video including a copy of the film itself and even Executive Producer credit.
If you are new to Kickstarter then the way it works is this: we have to raise all of the funds within the deadline period of 30 days, or else we receive non of the money. So please if you are interested in backing the project choose which reward you would like to receive and take action now to help get this film off the ground. And if you have any friends who like films and can pass it on to them then we will be extremely grateful.
Thank you for getting involved in this film project!
