Hi again backers! All the Physical Rewards are in the mail, some of you in Europe may have already received yours.  This Update is just to share with you guys the news of things to come, thanks to your support on Expeditions: Conquistador we are now working on our next (and totally different) game, Clandestine.  Follow the links for more details!

      I think your Conquistador launch trailer… does that right. Starting by your old logo ;), displaying WHAT world this is, then showing off all GAMEPLAY mechanics (like talking to people) in brief sequences while bundling it up with the STORY and your own role and opportunities in it.

      Sorry, forgot to mention why they hate it: If the general public just sees a normal trailer they expect it to have graphical fidelity like Crysis or something.

      Umsakis: Well, I saw the reactions on the trailer on public places, and one thing is certain: If you just show a trailer like this they will hate it. You have to flaunt that dialogue mechanics and story what you guys do best to have a chance to survive. Make your time.

      Well, sounds good! Like others, I expected more Expedition goodies but this is great too! Besides, when working on something for a long time, a change of scenery is always the best to keep you from going insane. Good luck LA!

      Of course we'll have singleplayer. The core idea of Clandestine that makes it new and unique is the co-op mechanic, so you can expect that it'll play a lot more traditionally in singleplayer, but the option will be there. We're still working out exactly how to make it play as well in singleplayer as in co-op, but it's a big priority for us to get that right.

      I was SOOOOOO excited to see your email in my inbox announcing your next game. Then I clicked the link and my heart sank. Expeditions was so different, new and fresh while at the same time old school and all around awesome. To go away from it so soon, I have to admit I was pretty disappointed.

      That said, thief 1&2 are a couple of my all time favorites so perhaps I'll love clandestine when it's all said and done.

      BUT, co-op multiplayer? I can't think of any combination of words you could have had in the press release that would have been worse. Please honestly tell me about the single player so up know whether I need to follow the game at all.

      I hate to be so negative. I'm not against developers branching out, you need to keep your interest up as well and I can see how a new direction would help that. I hope clandestine is a huge hit so you can get back to more expeditions.

      But.. what about addon for Expeditions? I think that "Blue Sky" addon or something like that about natives is what audience want..And you have all instruments to build it fast, all textures, all mechanics... you need only new story.

      No we'll get back to RPGs, but fortunately there's no rule anywhere that a games studio is only allowed to work with one particular genre :-)

      Urrgh, not my type of game I'm afraid. That zoom-in cinematic camera angle, those PS2-looking 3D graphics, co-op multiplayer, action stealth?.... Have you guys given up on RPG's?

      ThomasN: We're experimenting a lot with the role of interactive dialogue in this game. If it works out the way we're hoping, you can expect to see some pretty clever new dialogue mechanics.

      Darklord: Thief is definitely among our main inspirations! We're hoping to satisfy that craving for true stealth gameplay now that all the big boys have transitioned into a more mainstream action-oriented type of stealth :-)

      Matei: We're not ruling out a Kickstarter, but we're trying to fund this one through traditional channels for now. We'll see what the future brings :-)
