Let's Play Expeditions: Conquistador! Parts 2 and 3

Posted by Logic Artists (Creator)

As promised, here is the second unedited battle video with commentary. We had to split it into two parts to fit it on YouTube, so we apologise for the somewhat abrupt ending of the first video. This fight takes place about half-way into the first campaign, in a semi-random camping event, and it's not an easy fight, even if we make it look that way. In order to show off the second-tier abilities for all the character types, we levelled our troops up a little bit more than you'll probably be able to at that point in the campaign.

This update is being posted from Köln, Germany. Tomorrow, Gamescom is open to GDCE participants, so we'll be getting set up tomorrow morning, and then the convention opens to the unwashed masses on Wednesday. We hope to see some of you in the Koelnmesse, Hall 10.1, Stand C011, throughout the week, where you'll get to try our press build and see for yourself how the game plays. As always, let us know what you think in the comments, and please keep spreading the word of our Kickstarter :-)

Looking at this after watching the world map update, I'm curious: does the player character participate directly in combat, or is it just your followers who fight?

This was a very nice video; could we see some of the decision-making process though?

Daniel: Glad you asked! Yep, all thirty+ base followers and all major NPCs will have their own portraits. Our illustrator is already working on them, and they'll be ready soon, sadly they weren't done in time for Gamescom :-)

Looks very polished. Question: Is their going to be more character portraits? Right know all the classes look the same which personally makes me care less for them.

      I know awesome eh!

      Okay. You've convinced me.
