I wanted to create a colouring book that focuses on the natural beauty of the world we live in; but in a slightly abstract way. I am currently working to produce a colouring book with approximately 40+ illustrations of intricate and beautiful drawings of the Earth’s most wildest and beautiful creatures. When each drawing is complete they show a hidden design which comes to life as you start to colour each page. An ‘inspiration guide’ will be included in the back of the book giving you an idea of how I have completed the pages myself; just in case you run out of inspiration or if you want to see how I personally have coloured each page. The funds donated will be used for supplies, but most importantly digital conversion, printing and shipping costs. At the moment the publishing estimates are between £2,000 - £3,000 so whatever you can give will definitely help to make ‘Into the Wild’ a reality.
All pages are first conceptualized in pencil onto acid free heavy-weight cartridge paper, and then inked in meticulously by hand. Once they’re completed, they are scanned into the computer at an ultra-high resolution, digitally brightened and cleaned up, and then they shall be printed onto high-quality, bleed proof pages into an A4 professionally bound book. The more funds I am able to raise the more copies of ‘Into the Wild’ I can have printed, and who knows, if the project is successful I already have a bunch of ideas for an ‘Into the Wild: Vol 2’, which could explore volumes of mystical creatures, Greek goddesses, extinct dinosaurs; the list could go on and on so every penny definitely helps! Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions - thank you so very much!
Who am I?
I was born in the artistic city of Bristol, United Kingdom and for me the inspiration for design and artistic flare began in the earliest of ages. From a young age it was clear that my passion was fixed on the most creative and stimulating areas of aesthetic design. At age 13, my work was featured in Bristol City Cathedral's Annual Art Exhibition where I was awarded her first award for up and coming artist. This is the first ounce of recognition I received for my artwork, and it felt amazing!
After finishing my studies at school, I began the necessary steps to achieve the greatest qualifications in my field of work; including several A-Levels and eventually a foundation Degree in Graphics & illustration.
I then attended Brighton Film School in 2010 where I obtained an ABFS Diploma in my choice of subject and after spending one-year living at the coast I decided to follow my creative interest and moved to London, United Kingdom, to achieve a Masters Degree with a very successful result in Cinematography & Post Production.
Despite narrowing down my choices of studies in college and university, I have always had an interest in every single aspect of creative production ranging from illustration to sculpture and photography to SFX Make-Up.
I now reside in Bristol, United Kingdom where I have built up my own creative company, 'Dustless Soul Creations', and I now continue to work on a variety of different projects and collections and I am currently exploring the creativity of many unusual mediums; including light, form and texture.
While living here in Bristol, despite the creative reputation that this city has, it's not easy to make a living full time from creating artwork or from doing what I love. This is why I have to rely on the backing of the creative individuals out there who like to see the little guy's succeed, rather than endorse the big companies who make big bucks. I'm just an ordinary girl trying to make it in the difficult industry of 'creating art'.
Why chose to invest in my book?
When we're young we all pick up some crayons or pencils and start to colour in pages in our colouring books, but did you know that it's been proven by psychologists that it's beneficial to adults too? Sitting still and colouring can generate wellness, quietness and it stimulates the brain areas related to senses and creativity, and more importantly it can actually reduce your stress levels! Why you ask? This is down to the simple fact that when we focus on something such as colouring-in, the stresses that have been bothering us all day melt away because you're concentrating on something else.
There are a lot of colouring books that have been released in the past year but while looking into some designs inside the books, a lot of them contain fairly generic images or patterns which don't have any relevance or meaning. This led me to think about creating a colouring book that not only calms down the soul, but gives you a sense of achievement at the end. By creating this book, Into the Wild: A Colouring Book About Nature, I wanted to create a book of beautiful illustrations that double up as a piece of unique artwork, and as a colouring book so you can feel like you've created something truly unique once you have finished each page.
With all rewards, please be sure to include your email address so I can send you the downloadable PDFs of the book. Thanks again!
I've included some examples below of the illustrations that you will find inside the colouring book. They'll be around 40+ different images (the more popular the book, the more illustrations it will contain) but here's a sample of a few that it will include:

Risks and challenges
I’ve been studying a huge variety of art-related subjects for a long, long time and I've been drawing for as long as I can remember so creating the visuals for the book itself will be the easy part. While distributing the book, I’ll spend a lot of my time delving deeply into the ins and outs of publishing and promotion but afterwards the effort will be well worth it. As each page is handcrafted precisely and scanned in at an ultra-high resolution, I will ensure the quality of each page is absolutely top notch.
