In a month filled with NAIDOC celebrations and enjoying everything Aboriginal and Islander, the news hit us that Vibe and all things that Vibe do was struck down by funding cuts. This included the 20th anniversary of the Deadly Awards.
I am asking everyone of you and those especially that signed the petition I began to appeal to Tony Abbott and Nigel Scullion to reinstate the funding, even if just for this final year, in honour of Everyone who made it what it became and to be able to give the Deadly’s one big send of blackfella style
Every little bit helps and in honour of a thriving culture please help us to celebrate one last time.

Please note this kick starter is not yet supported by Vibe or the Jones' family. Any money received will be offered to Vibe to put on the awards but failing that we will attempt to create a new one with crowd sourced, community, government and corporate sponsorship.
Risks and challenges
Risks - No one will help me put it all together. However there is a dedicated team that worked for Vibe who have already done most of the work, they just couldn't continue because of the funding drop. There is also a dedicated community of Australian's who support this and would jump at the chance to help.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
