All about Environments...
World Lamp is a truly environmental friendly shop light. It has light output compare to traditional shop light which uses two 4' fluorescent tubes; but only use about half of energy and weight a lot less.
Why I mention weighting less as an important factor of environmental friendly? While other LED lamps use about the same amount of energy to operate, they weight a lot more than our lamp, even heavier than most of fluorescent lamps. The reason being is LED chips are more heat sensitive compare to other light source. Lamp design needs to take heat dissipation into consideration, they typically use more metal in either metal core PCB or metal heat sink. That means more mining, forging and transportation occurred... all those carries some environmental impact; and some cost to retail price, too.
Our patented technology allows us to use least amount of metal as possible. We use it at where it matter the most, directly under the belly of LED chip. And the same piece of metal also serve the purpose of mounting bracket (for chain or nail/screw to attach). Other than two modules and needed LED driver, our lamp body is constructed with light weight recycled material. And its fold-able lamp body design also reduces shipping and storage space.

It's about Practical too...
Can technologies save this world from global warming? I don't have the answer. But I do know if people don't adapt to new technology, then technology alone is just useless.
LED is a great light source, however most LED products are expensive compare to fluorescent light. Today a decent LED shop light would cost few hundred dollars; yet energy usage cut back from already pretty efficient fluorescent lamp will need years to compensate the high inital cost, that leads to slow adaption rate.
So what can we help? We are propose a low cost lamp design on a popular used lamp. If we can dramatic bring down the cost of a LED lamp that many people use, then more people will accept it. For achieving this purpose, It should not cost much higher than fluorescent products, so people would have very little excuse to continue using those mercury contained products.
About Easy LED Lighting
Easy LED Lighting is based on couple of great innovations, mainly focus on LED heat dissipation. Base on one of our patented technology, We have developed a versatile LED module, Easy LED Module, which can be used for many lighting applications.
The module's mounting bracket can be bent to point light output to desired direction, it also doubled as a heat sink to dissipate heat.
Below photo explains why this module excellent in LED heat dissipation. The aluminum back bracket has small tab went through slot of PCB to make direct contact with LED, Therefore, this back bracket also doubles as heat sink, which also has direct contact with heating object.
With great technology and even better application, Now it's time to develop it into a business. It's a common practice and makes economic sense to build product in high quantity, I thought about making at least 2000 lamps; but that will set a goal may be too high to reach. So I settle with lowest batch of 500 World Lamps, I hope we can find owners for most of them. If there are some left after this campaign, they will be for sale at our site easyledlighting.com.
With small quantity, We can't afford many variety. All lamps will be made of recycle paper, they will be shipped as folded. Even though the lamp weights only 2.5lbs; it measures up to 36" long. To make a box strong enough to protect this content will add some weight to the final package. After checking UPS for shipping such a package, it will cost at least $12 to ship. It would be better if this shipping cost can be shared with two lamps in one pack.
This Lamp is best for hanging high near ceiling like regular shop light; but it can also standing alone like showing in video or below picture.
We have a very good pledge price for two lamps pack while single lamp is also available, which will carry the shipping cost alone.
Risks and challenges
We have confidence about the quality of our module, it had passed UL inspection, which meets the safety standard for US and Canada. The LED driver we choose also carry UL certificate. However, we will have to apply another UL for the whole Lamp, we believe it should pass but there is no guarantee. In the unfortunate case, buyer get a LED assembly kit and lamp shade body. It's up to user to assemble it into a lamp or not.
Buyer outside of US has no warrant and knowing this product only meets US safety standard.
The ability to test and re-engineer the product, as well as identify the most appropriate materials is a timeline risk. This is because each new material needs to be tested, and slight re-engineering needs to take place with the introduction of new material specifications and/or test results. In short, there are always potential unknowns in the redesign process that may add to our timeline. We will also continue to communicate with our community of supporters to inform you of our progress and update our expected delivery time.
