Dear Friends, Fans, Family,
My name is Yotam Silberstein and I am a guitarist, composer based in New York City.
I've been living in NYC for 13 years during which I have recorded 5 albums under my own name, and countless others with a wide array of artists.
I consider myself very fortunate to have played and recorded with great artists such as: Roy Hargrove, John Patitucci, Marcus Miller, David Sanborn, Ivan Lins, Paquito D'Rivera, James Moody, Christian McBride and many others.
But today I'm here to tell you about my new album "Future Memories.” Together with an amazing group of musicians and humans, I went into the studio in Brooklyn, NY earlier this year and after 3 intense days, we came up with what I consider my best work so far. My new album, "Future Memories".
- Glenn Zaleski on Piano and Fender Rhodes
- Vitor Goncalves on Piano, Accordion, and Keyboard
- John Patitucci on Electric and Acoustic Bass
- Daniel Dor on Drums and Percussion
- Andre Mehmari on Synthesizers
The music on the album is mostly my original music which we have been playing on our tours around the world for the last couple of years. I've been traveling constantly and studying a lot of music from all over, but mostly the music of Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Venezuela, and north Africa. I feel like all these new influences combined with my knowledge of Jazz, Blues, Israeli and Arabic music has merged into something very unique and beautiful.
Upon finishing the recording, I spent a lot of time in the studio with the great David Darlington – one of the best mixing and mastering engineers in the world – and together we finalized the album and put a lot of love into each and every second of it. Now it's time to share it with all of you.
Why Your Support Is Essential
As some of you already know, with the rise of streaming apps like Spotify, Apple music and etc. album sales are few and far between, and that has completely changed the reality of the music business for independent artists such as myself. Making an album (especially making it right) is a very expensive process. To make this album come to life I have to pay for the studio, the musicians, mixing, mastering, publicity, printing and more...
This is where I would like to invite you to be part of this project by pre-ordering the album, or choosing between different rewards I'll be offering including - Signed copies, Guitar lessons, sheet music, hangouts, and much more. Please consider supporting and joining the team to make the album come to life.
If we don't make our goal we won't be able to release the album, but if if we do, I plan to release it on March 1st ( You will receive your copies in advance). I have teamed up with a wonderful French independent label "Jazz & People” that will support me with the album release
Thank you so much for taking your time to read this, and thank you even more from the bottom of my heart for your support.
