Production Update #8 - Most of $275 Tier done, Gearing up for Ancient Codices!
Plus another 3-5 books in the shop being sent internationally, these were all just Domestic!
We. Are. Kicking. Butt!
The past 3 weeks have been some of the most rewarding and productive weeks to date of this Campaign.
- 1) Ebay and Lottery Auctions Succeed BEYOND Expectations!
- 2) Collection of Ancient Codex Winner's information and design choices.
- 3) Developed 4 Awesome Ancient Codex Themes (see pictures below)
- 4) Hiring and Training Of Our Second Laborer, Nicholas!
- 5) Completing the Majority of $275 Reward Tier, Creeping into $225!
Nathan and I have been working on KS books non-stop and are happy to report that we are mostly complete with the $275 tier save for a small number of backers whom we are awaiting their story confirmations on. We've even begun reaching out to the $225 Reward Tiers backers as well. This week however will be a transition one as we slow down on our KS production and turn our focus to the Ancient books for the time being. My hope is that things should move quickly now that we got three people working at a time :)
Ebay and Lottery News
The Ancient Codices were a massive hit! All 20 of the Ebay Auction Books were snatched up in the last final hour of their deadline. 2 of them were bought outright! The Lottery ended up having quite a few back outs which led to us having to re-draw replacement names for about 5-6 of the slots. We are now down to 1 slot left, awaiting reply from our most recent re-drawing participant. If they haven't responded by next Monday, we will select whoever comments below first expressing interest in the slot.
The Four Styles of the Ancient Codex
Brady has also be hard at work getting in touch with each of the Ancient Codex buyers, figuring out their choices and selections when customizing their books. We decided to develop four main themes that will serve as the Base Versions of each particular theme. This means that if someone just wanted to change some wording or an image or two; they will still have the rest of the book already designed and ready to go, allowing for a quick turnaround. The most popular choices were Traditional Da Vinci and the NCIS/Pirate Versions, you can see the Engraving Layouts for each Theme below.
A New Hire and New Energy!
We were also able to hire on a second laborer to help reduce the workload for Brady so he can maintain focus on the Lasers and insuring everything else is running smoothly throughout the workshop. Nick is learning quickly and has already mastered the staining and sanding process of the sheets which helps Brady out especially :). The Pre-Assembly part of the process requires a bit more training and learning but as we shift from KS books to Ancient Codices for the next month, he will have plenty of time to hone his craft there!
Summing it Up
All in all, we got the final shot in the arm that we needed to finish this race full speed ahead and I'm extremely excited to see the kind of progress to be made over the next few months. As always, we are forever grateful for your continued support, commentary, and definitely your patience as we march ever forward!
