The Dogs are off the old trailer and we have started the process of sanding and fiberglas repair. Amy Troutman and Brian “Fish” Leese are working on that part of the job with some help from Skip Soares when they need to move the ten foot tall, three hundred pound Heads.
The framing system is being designed now and will be fabricated and installed soon by Paul Troutman and Billy Collister.
Then we can begin the painting process.
Bob Mendez of Qube Auto Body will have the base coat sprayed onto the Heads for in order to then begin the hand painted finish work.
The three “finish” painters and I had our first meeting and they are very excited to have their own “signature” Dog Heads. Many of the Dogs either started or ended up with custom shirt colors and different types and colors of bowties when they made their debuts in the 1960’s.There was no one “original” look. With this in mind, Caroline Weaver, Loid Mongoloid and Yano Rivera are each going to customize their Dogs sartorial appearance.
We are working very hard on preparing the various fulfillment rewards and hope to be able to get some of the swag out to you and to initiate some of the adventures rewards starting in April.
We will keep you posted on this progress.
This Doggie Diner thing is a lotta work! If I had only known how much…………well, I’m just stupid enough to have done it anyway…….
