Each and every fourbot of all pledge levels will receive a Lipo battery low voltage alarm, Simple to use Lipoly low voltage alarm that is small and light for on board use, plug's into balance lead for detecting low voltage on individual cells. A loud alarm will sound and LED will change from Green to Red if any individual cell drops to 3.3v or below.Spec. Lipoly Range: 2s~4s

We will upgrade the current landing gear; it will sit high up and will be able to clear different types of camera gimbals. It will also be very user friendly to attach and detach underneath fourbot for ease of transportation and along with sportier flight.
Fourbot frame design:
When we found out that the G10 was the best solution due to the lightweight and strength capability we moved foreword with the design process.
It all started with a scrap drawing on a piece of paper when we had a vision of the ultimate flying machine, stronger, lighter and more durable so that it can withstand high g forces and not be able to flex and cause vibration. We also kept in to consideration that we wanted the fourbot to be a machine that can be customizable very easily.
We implemented our first drawings into Cad, Then we generated the Cods for the CNC mill, and produce the first outer frame which holds the motors and the speed controllers.
Here is a picture of the outer frame so called (booms). The booms are very strong and can survive many crashes.
We first experimented with different sizes and found that the shorter booms work the best and have the lowest frequency vibration. When testing with longer booms we found that the quad copter was flying very sluggish and wobbly.
We definitely knew what we wore looking to achieve from the beginning, We wanted a sporty flight with stable footage and yet durable and lightweight.
CNC milled G10 very high density and light wight 1/4" thick and is stiffer than anything out there. The frame centers are also very strong and stiff.

the 2 piece CNC machined center frame gives the booms straight and also hides all the wires out of sight. You will find the led lights at every corners of the frame. Flight configuration is an X, the white led's are in the front of the x and the red in the back so it is easy to judge the orientation of what direction the frame is facing.
When all the electronics are in tact on the fourbot, the most crucial step becomes the calibration of the board. This process was not the funnest process of it all, actually it was the most challenging to be able to write the program in a way where the frame and the board became one. You may be wondering what exactly does it mean for the board and the frame to become one, The motors produce lift and the speed controllers control the RPM's of each individual motor. The board is the decision maker in keeping the frame stable at all times, We created the frame in a way so that the board understands the frame and where each and every motor is on the frame, so the communication time between the board and the speed controllers are down to the dot. This makes a huge difference in performance, copter becomes very user friendly, so it gives you freedom to be able to capture amazing stable photos and videos from the air.
Trough multiple hours of testing we have achieved the perfect codes to fly the quadcopter to it's highest form of stability. We will insure that each and every fourbot that leaves the shelf will be programmed and ready to fly so that you can get to the fun part right out of the box. For the first time since the invention of the multicopter, a UAV enthusiast is now able to get stable aerial photography and video, auto stabilization, and camera capability all from a smart phone controlled application. Built from lightweight G10 material that is very durable, the FourBot is capable of withstanding multiple impacts with ease.
Balanced high power motors and propellers provide low vibration frequency in order to achieve stable flight and maneuverability as well the best video quality on the market. Built to carry miniature cameras such as the Go Pro, the FourBot is perfect for any project involving recording magnificent views and scenery. Also, with the Go Pro application on the smart phone, the user is able to put the FourBot in position hold in order to take stand still photos and share these with their friends and family on their social media networks.
With the optional goggle package provided, the enthusiast can view a live feed of what the camera sees high in the sky or low to the ground allowing for precision shots of whatever may be desired. With a click of a button, the FourBot will return to any position desired thanks to the Click & Go option within the application. In case of loss of signal, the FourBot WILL return home safely and shut off the motors due to the built in GPS within the FourBot.
We have used the Wii board which is pre programmed to work right out of the box and is open source so if the buyer is a programmer he or she may definitely take it the next level. For the casual enthusiast, the FourBot is able to lift off simply out of the owner’s hands into the air and can be caught when ready to land. However we do offer landing gear which uses shock absorbent technology that can flex on those certain hard landings.
These convenient options are in no way interfering with the cameras lenses. The FourBot is built for all ages and levels of flying experience. Extremely easy to fly, the FourBot is inexpensive and fun for the whole family on any occasion.

What do we need funds for?
From start to now we have come a long way, Built and developed several options, prototypes and promotional video to present the latest version of our working prototype. We still have to improve an application through which Fourbot will operate smoothly with your mobile device and finalize the model of Fourbot in order to put it into mass production.

The Impact Affordable Micro Air Vehicles (MAVs) will revolutionize activities and tasks ranging from sports photography to infrastructure inspection to academic research. For years, technologists have been promising that this revolution is just around the corner, yet our expectations haven’t been met. Team Bot set out to deliver on these expectations with the fourbot Quadrotor, a product that we think makes aerial vehicles truly accessible. Micro Air Vehicles (MAVs) are an extremely important modern technology, with many groups considering using MAVs for various applications.
Researchers and Educational Institutions (from secondary to postgraduate studies) no longer have to struggle finding platforms within their academic budget which are capable of performing their airborne experiments in an extremely wide range of fields from real time complex PID optimization algorithms to air quality sampling. Search and rescue operators and first responders no longer have to operate blind in dangerous environments or rely on expensive alternatives like helicopters for real time aerial intelligence. Journalists and photographers no longer cover difficult or dangerous events, are unable to perform without putting their crew in harm’s way, have to rely on bulky and extremely expensive equipment, or simply can’t gain full access to the story. Surveyors, conservationists, and farmers no longer cover large areas on foot or in ground vehicles, or deal with the high cost of manned aircraft or expensive UAVs. Engineers are no longer forced to prematurely shut down expensive and dangerous oil and gas facilities, railroads, and other types of infrastructure to perform inspections.
Until now, in all of these applications, the cost and complexity of operating MAVs have presented barriers to widespread adoption - often the financial outlay for a single MAV ranges from a thousand to tens of thousands of dollars, and operators invest significant time in pilot training. As a result, many industries that could benefit from ubiquitous micro air vehicles have been unwilling or unable to invest and recoup the many benefits.
From the early days of design and prototyping to it's current form, we built Fourbot to be a development platform, a workhorse if you will, to explore the incredible potential for MAVs and robotics. By bringing down the cost for a powerful and customizable aerial platform the future is full of exciting opportunities. We think Fourbot will be a useful tool for researchers, enthusiasts, and the development community to offer new applications and work alongside us to build the future. On which mobile platforms is the Fourbot app available? Right now the app is available on iPhone, and an Android version will be available by the time the copters are shipped. The Android version will be compatible with Android 4.3 and above. Currently no Windows Phone version is available, but we are hoping to release that sometime next year.
How much weight can Fourbot carry? The copter can carry 345 g.
Will individual hardware components be sold as add-ones? Yes, during our Kickstarter campaign we are selling complete units, but we plan to sell components such as the Pan/tilt camera Gimbal and parts on our website after the campaign is over.
What is the range of Fourbot? Fourbot uses2.4Ghz, which works best within 2 miles.
How long can the Fourbot fly on a single charge? Fourbot can fly for about 8 minutes if it is carrying a camera, and for about 10 minutes if it is not.
How do you charge Fourbot? How long does it take? A charger will be included when we ship the copters. The charger also includes a wall-adapter. It takes Fourbot about 45 minutes to fully charge.
Does the Fourbot come pre-assembled, or in kit form? All Fourbot's will be assembled out of the box, besides Kit package. kit package we supply you with comprehensive instructions and the Allen key that you need to put the quadrotor together.
Does my reward level come with radio and receiver? All Fourbot's ($299 pledge and above) come with a 2.4ghz radio controller and receiver.
Risks and challenges
The FourBot project faces the usual risks of manufacturing and producing. We are working with professional manufacturing facilities with history of mass production and quality control.
One of our biggest challenges is making sure that each and every copter that leaves the assembly line is carefully inspected and tested. We will insure that all flight sensors are working properly and the copter is flying smooth and perfect. This process is done with experienced and trained pilots who understand flight and electronics. Each and every quad copter will be test flown after the assembly and balancing procedure to insure quality.
There is always a risk of delays in receiving parts (as many have found), or parts being held up in customs (as we have experienced before). We are lucky enough, through multiple iterations, to be working with suppliers who have continually demonstrated an ability to reliably supply high quality parts, and have earned our trust and continued support. For the Fourbot, we have also sourced parts from US companies. Doing so not only lowers risks and delays but also helps domestic businesses we believe in.
