You have been kept in the dark.

Its not been easy I know.

I know you been waiting a long time. There are things I cannot write. Not now. Maybe in the future. Believe me my heart is bursting to say the truth. You Kickstarters, my Supertroopers have been through Hell. I have too. Every day I work to making this happen. And IT WILL. I can only bow down and say sorry. I thought I had found a software partner, he had a good software. Then a toy distributor came full of promises. I wanted Teddy to reach the world, I thought of the best for you. But promises are made and soon to be broken. I had to write the software from scratch. I have done to date 12 months development in 3 months. But you shout justifiably, where is my bear. Soon. Please hold on. I did not spend a year of my life 24/7 to fail. I have taken no holiday, no break. I have not rested. I have done and doing everything to make it right. We have created something amazing. For the first time, I am now seeking investors into my company to help me take the software to the next stage. This is what I have to say.

We have developed an affordable robotic toy teddy bear to enable everyone to experience next generation robotics, with its proprietary advanced Android App software. We need the financial working capital to drive the company forwards. Executive Summary Introduction The first natural talking robotic teddy bear, a Siri for kids - Carryable Technology today! A robotic physical Teddy powered by an App running on a Smart phone that speaks via Bluetooth or cable connection discreetly concealed in the back of the toy. Today Smart phones and Tablets are in the hands of Children, this poses danger from seeing or reading unsuitable adult material to being bullied on social networks. We provide a way for children to obtain all the benefits and knowledge of the Internet safely. The Market The fist toy that combines both the physical toy a $22 Billion toy market with mobile entertainment a $33 Billion market, a robotic physical Teddy powered by an app running on a Smart phone. Our USP The future of communicating with devices will be with your voice. Current voice enabled technologies like Siri are Q&A, where you ask a question and receive an answer. One cannot hold a real human like conversation. Conversation is key to building relationships; which develop strong brand loyalty. From Wikipedia "Conversation is a form of interactive, spontaneous communication between two or more people who are following rules of etiquette. It is polite give and take of subjects thought of by people talking with each other for company". The problem is how to enable conversation and to do this one must solve how to make software behave, sound and think like humans. What we call the 'humanistic' layer as the interface for future voice technologies. Current stage Prototype developed of Toy, manufactured 2,000 units at factory in Shenzhen, China. Ready to send to first 1,300 customers/Beta testers in the west. Accepted on the IBM Start-up Catalyst programme, that provides free hosting and mentoring. Recognized by Google and show cased at the Saatchi Gallery London. Received many requests to appear on television. Beta app developed that answers questions from Wikipedia, Siri like functions with parental controls and proprietary conversational algorithms. The Team Past experience of App development for the Google Android market.

Hold Strong.

Thinking about how this guy screwed all of us over makes me miserable.

All I can add to what Jason said below (pretty perfectly) is I will happily pay you the money again to stop sending me this absolute gibberish, go get some sleep and possibly a job somewhere.
P.S The 'Universe' isn't going to send you anything, let alone money, you had that, from lots of people who wanted the very cool thing you promised

I am beyond blown away by this whole process. I have not said commented on the carnival of Ashley posts, to date. Today is the day I can take it no longer. I bought a bear for my twin girls last year in the hopes of having it for them by Xmas. Obviously that didn't happen. What we have witnessed here is the a meltdown of epic proportions. We have been lied to time and time again.

I went into this know full well it was a start-up concept. And, I also put my money in knowing I might not see it again. As an investor in something, you have to know that money could be gone. I didn't anticipate we'd be where we are today. I don't think anyone on here truly understands where the product is at this point. I didn't buy a bear for its Android capabilities; I bought a bear for its iOS capabilities. So, now that seems to have changed. I wonder if someone can document on here all of the lies/pivots/changes that have been made. I honestly don't even have the time to keep up anymore.

Ashley, instead of creating some bizarre narrative with links to crazy non-sequitur things, please just give us a bulleted list of where we are and what we SHOULD expect. Nobody cares about your Mum, your feelings or your favorite song. We only care about the product. That's what we invested in. I thought you were getting some "business help"? Clearly you need it. Can't you have someone write these updates for you in a logical manner?

I own a software company in Atlanta. We build mobile apps. I am happy to take 30 minutes to talk to you if you think it will help. At this point, I think I can speak for everyone else here: We just want the product that we funded. Plain and simple.

      Thank you.

Hmm. "The problem is how to enable conversation and to do this one must solve how to make software behave, sound and think like humans. What we call the 'humanistic' layer as the interface for future voice technologies."

Yes and this is something that giants like Apple, Nuance, Google, IBM and Microsoft as well as a massive amount of researchers have been trying to accomplish. And you now look for financing to do this on Android?

    5. Alex Johnson on

@Tk, another good point. I don't own an android device, he specifically stated that the software would be for both, now it seems he's changing his story again.

Why do you say "Ready to send" when the last updates said "on their way"?

    9. Dennis Small on

What the what? Please just tell us what is going on????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

    10. Bert Van de Wiel on

@Alex,by now you should realize that we will never get anything! No bear, no costumes, no backpack, nothing!

And Ashley is now even looking for new people to con.

    11. Alex Johnson on

@Bert, I know I'm just trying to get the swindler to admit it or give me my money back. The least he could do is refund the amount people paid extra for the stuff he's not going to deliver, but we all know that's not going to happen either.

Man this guy is full of it!
Just send us the Teddies, I wrote a simple Android app that uses wikipedia and speaks in an hour. Its so simple. Google gives you all of these services!.

Just send us the bear we paid for!

    14. Brian Levinsen

Honestly, I would go for the Teddy and all the extras I paid for, even without the software right now. At least my daughter can play with the teddy, and if ever there is software then all of a sudden teddy can talk.

show a video of the toy running your software. these updates are just for backers so no one else will see them besides us.
OR release the beta software for us to test.
      this proves nothing.

    16. Alex Johnson on

Ugh, how about you stop dodging the real questions, like are you done making the costumes and backpacks? Why can't we see video of the software in action? I pledged for like 4 extra costumes a fez the backpack and the "supertoy" outfit. Am I going to receive these things or are you just going to act like that stuff isn't important? If that's the case I want my damn money back.

I was just thinking...Ashley's journey on this Supertoy venture is just like the French Revolution. Amazing!
