Hi Everyone!

Sorry it's been a while since our last update, we've been in the depths of editing and now sound mixing! But I can officially say that we have LOCKED PICTURE!!! This means that we are now done with the editing process. We have moved on to sound and last week several of the actors came in for ADR work. This is where they re-record some of their lines. It was a lot of fun to see everyone again, although I feel like I've been hanging out with them all summer since I've been watching the movie over and over again non-stop! We also had a loop group come in and record all the background voices you will hear in the movie. They were so good at capturing the right feeling for each scene.

This last Monday and Tuesday Jen and Cora and I went in to the sound studio to work on the temp mix for the film. This is where you put different sounds together and start to get a sense of the film as a whole.

We have an incredible team working on the film as our composers. Their names are Alexis and Sam. You can check out their website here: They are so talented and we feel so lucky to be working with them!

Their will be more frequent updates in the following weeks as our progress continues!

Thanks for the update and for the link to Alexis' and Sam's website (nice design by the way). What I heard there sounds very promising for 'I Am I' :-) The orchestral score for 'The Family Journal' has a bit of Arvo Pärt's tintinnabuli style. I also was happy to find that kind of homage to Jaques Tati (Monsieur Hulot's House). Wish you all the best for the next and following production steps and can't wait so see the final movie. Best greetings from autumnal Germany ... BF

Really can't wait for the final film to come out. Wishing all of you the best of luck. Is that a telecine edit room? I figured you for an AVID production.....JK

Thank you for the update! I use your kickstarter campaign as an example of a well run and thoughtful campaign!. I just had someone I know, who if had asked me, I would have given them pointers on how to run their campaign (mainly siting yours) but alas they didn't ask me - and whadda ya know? They didn't even get close to reaching their goal.

Anywho, just wanted send some appreciation your way!
