Dear I Am I Family,
I love this film so very much. It is tender and true, and I am a better person for seeing it and for being able to play a part in supporting it. I am so proud of what you have achieved! This was my first Kickstarter experience, and it will always be one of the most meaningful. Jocelyn - you have a knack for making people feel very special, and I really appreciated your kindness and the way you kept us updated and informed. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful dream.
Much love. xx
Finally got it! Thanks.
Still no sign of the DVD ...
Just got my DVD yesterday--thanks!! Loved the film. It managed to be comically poignant... or...poignantly comic, in a subtle way…anyway, it's the best kind of indie film--well written and character driven. And when this all started I didn't even know Kevin Tighe would be in it--I was SO thrilled! Congratulations to all involved.
Just wondering if there is any news regarding the DVD? (no pressure, just curious!).
Announcement coming VERY SOON about DVDs!!!! Thank you everyone for your patience. I will also explain why it has taken SO LONG!!!! I'm very anxious for everyone to see it!!!!
Are we ever getting the dvd? We've been pretty patient, I want to see it for myself now :(
By any chance do you have a projected date for the DVDs?
I saw the film tonight. Jocelyn made a quick introduction, how she started to write the script 8 years ago and said a few words about the financing and the backers.
Backers rejoice, the film is great! It's a personal drama with a small cast of characters. The acting is solid with an expansive Gene and a more withdrawn Rachel and the pacing is good with touching moments. I'm glad that I backed the movie. Bravo Jocelyn and the I am I team.
Thanks Rodolphe for posting the dates and times! And thank you, Hana, for the offer! I'll keep you posted on further screenings!
That's not to say I know anything about arranging a screening but am willing to learn and do the legwork so it can be screened in Sydney. If there's anything I can do to help get this happening let me know.
I can't wait to see this film in Aus - let me know if you need help arranging a screening

Hey Jocelyn I hope things are still going well for you, your family, and the film. Can't wait to see it!
Great opportunity for you and for the band, too! And with almost 3 million views, they are definitely on the rise! Congrats, Jocelyn...can't wait to see completed film!
LOVE love the song by FF -- good on you, girl!
I got my poster and T-shirt today!!! So exciting!
Giraud, we will be giving an update on it very soon!!!
So, what happened at the "US in progress"? We didn't have any news. Will this movie be in European theaters?
First, congratulations to you and Simon for your expecting little one. What joy!
Secondly, what great news the film is almost finished. Lots of succes and strength for the coming months. Esther
Wow. You are one fertile lady. A new baby and a new film at the same time. Bravo!
Can't wait to see them both.
I hope to see you and baby belly on Wednesday night.
I'm so excited to hear the original song and to see your film!
Haven't heard in a while, any updates?
Congratulations, Jocelyn and everyone! I'm looking at funding a feature of my own through Kickstarter, and you guys are a major inspiration.
I just watched your video because you are backing a project I am also backing - I DO. Anyway, I wanted to tell you that I think your video was very well done. Kudos!
So I went and started a little project... It's not on Kickstarter, it's just a little way to get paid for indulging in a hobby of mine, cryptography. Here's the link, if anyone's curious, or would like to spread the word: "I will translate any text up to one page from English into a hidden code for $5." http://fiverr.com/205898
I know my name is hard to spell. I am so excited for you guys...CONGRATULATIONS! The name Déous is created by holding the Alt button and 0233 then release the alt key. You hold the alt the whole time. If this is to complicated you can leave out the accent. and just go with Deous.
CONGRATS!! KUDOS!!!! Best Project Video of the Year on Kickstarter!
That's some great accomplishment. I can only imagine what awards you are going to get when your movie comes out. Lots for sure!
Well, the first hurdle has been passed - now comes the exciting and fun part.
What a great start of the project. Good luck polishing the script.
You guys are just hilarious. I have now a mental image there Joccelyn and Simon are dealing out snuggis on the screening event. Hahaha!
Oooo... I like that idea! Though my fiance might call off the engagement if he comes home and I'm in a "Wearable Art" Snuggie! lol
Like, making a pattern that uses stars and sky, the way Van Gogh used to paint them...
No, NO! LOL!!!!! You misread me! Wearable art. As in, stuff inspired by famous paintings! I want to do original designs that are inspired BY Van Gogh, Renoir...
@David-- I'm pretty sure Joss has to give you permission, so you don't step on her copyright/trademark. Otherwise, you can limit her ability to create merch based on her movie/logo...
So I found a company who can make the fleece prints for me! Now to see what it'd cost, to make MY dreams come true with Wearable Art Snuggies!
So exciting!I've never been part of anything like this before and it's great! I'd buy a snugglie too.Winter's very cold here.Congratulations again to Joss The Boss and everyone else in the cast & crew! Power to the people! Now...when's the movie coming out? LOL
Bravo, you guys.
Heh, I'm a real crack-up. Badda-bing. Honestly though, I DO love Snuggies. I'm currently frustrated trying to find a way to get some of my favorite art printed on fleece fabric by the yard. THIS way I could make blankets and things based on things like my favorite painter, Vincent Van Gogh. Imagine wearing a Snuggie inspired by Van Gogh's Starry Night painting!
Congratulations Jocelyn! I am so excited for you and totally impressed with what you have achieved here! And you are in excellent hands with Cora and Jen producing!!
Eva, we are going to be developing I Am I merchandise eventually, as things progress! Thanks, Bernie, for pointing that out!!! We can't believe it ourselves!!! And just so everyone knows, there is already a facebook fan page for "I Am I" as well!!! And David C., you're cracking me up with the Snuggies thing!
@Joss & David C.-- I want 'I AM I' everything! I'd buy pretty much any merch that you come up with, Joss: Coffee mugs, sweatshirts, keychains. OR, if that's not something you're interested in, I'll open up shop myself, if I have permission to use the logo! Seriously, I got the Fever! And the only thing that will quench it, is more I AM I! ( Saturday Night Live, Christopher Walken/Will Ferrell skit reference...)
I slept! Ish. Drifted in and out with a smile on my face, and woke up with one too. It has been a joy to be part of something so special here, and the great thing is - the best is yet to come! I'd love to stay surrounded by you all too. I'm @daisystreet. Please feel free to follow. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone. :)
Jocelyn: Any chance you could order custom Snuggies made up to promote I Am I? I ask because I LOVE Snuggies, and I would definitely buy a couple to relax in!
Your film is on the KS "Hall of Fame" - the sixth most funded project since the inception of Kickstarter. Cool!!
