Giga-Shards: These techno-organic energy sources are grown and lethally harvested from living beings. When harvested from humans, the Shards grant their users the incredible ability to transmute emotion into unbridled power, limited only by the user’s fighting spirit. The Zoider Armada—an omnipotent alien force that glorifies conquest above all else—has discovered this unique power. Now the various Zoider factions have invaded Earth space to abduct and dominate the human race. Earth is given a chance to fight back when a few brave humans escape Zoider captivity, sacrificing themselves to send Zoider’s giant robot prototypes back to Earth. But the pilots who come into the possession of these titanic war machines have goals of their own. Some selfish and some selfless, they compete with each other in a race to control more Giga-Shards. Some hope to defend Earth, while others seek only power to achieve their own mysterious ends.
DEEP CUSTOMIZATION AND STRATEGY
Choose from a powerful roster of pilots and robots, each with unique stats, styles, and alternative forms, to create a wide variety of play styles. Each Pilot and Robot has its own deck of Attack and Instant cards. Choose 15 of them to build your hand.
Customize your robot by installing 3 abilities that can be used and triggered mid-game to turn the tide of battle. Select a new hand each game, or swap out your Pilot or Robot for a whole new set of possibilities, ensuring great replayability, personalization, and strategic variation.
DYNAMIC DICE AND CARD COMBAT
Roll fistfuls of dice against your opponent for over-the-top card-based attacks, powered by your Pilot's Fighting Spirit, and balanced by map position, strategic card play, and hand construction. You never draw cards from a deck, so the combos and combat cycles you design are always at your fingertips.
Every time your opponent moves, plays a card, or resolves a dice roll, you can respond and counter with cards of your own. The battle is constant, dramatic, and engaging—you never have to wait for your turn to get in on the action.
Every piece of terrain is fully destructible, revealing new hazards as you smash through the city. Use an exposed conduit from the city's power grid to charge your next attack. Throw your opponent through a skyscraper, leaving a blazing inferno in its wake. Strike the ground beneath your opponent’s feet, sending them crashing down into a massive crater. Combat is never static—your attacks push, pull, and throw your opponent across the map and through every hazard you can find.
DOWN BUT NEVER OUT
Every time your opponent inflicts damage to your robot, you gain resources based on your Pilot’s Rage and Power, giving way to stunning comeback moves and ever-shifting momentum.
THE COOLDOWN METER
Timing is essential; every time you play a card, it enters your Cooldown Meter and you won’t be able to use it again for a set number of turns. Some cards have powerful buffs that Activate once they’re in Cooldown.
The Cooldown Meter also controls how long you’re hindered by the negative effects of Trauma Tokens—components that show the consequences of your opponent's most devastating attacks, and the effects of pushing your robot beyond its limits.

Chogoking features a balanced mix of melee and ranged attacks, can naturally generate Power Tokens, and can dynamically use Fire for offense, defense and utility. Chogoking's miniature is 79mm tall.
Ayzn has a very strong defense, devastating melee attacks that inflict varied and strategic debuff effects, and can upgrade mid-battle to improve its stats and unlock abilities and cards. Ayzn is the largest robot in the roster at 93mm tall!
The fastest robot in the roster, Dai-Raijin V has very effective Combo Attacks, can dynamically use Power Surges for offense, defense and utility, and excels at hit and run tactics. Dai Raijin's miniature is 51mm tall.
O-Gun has an extremely versatile melee attack range, has access to the Anchor Trauma Token, which reduces an opponent’s speed and can be deployed on the map as an obstacle, and has the highest armor of any robot in the roster. It's burly frame is 70mm tall.
Dash stands apart with his extremely high Fighting Spirit gain and threshold. His deck features lots of counters and catch-up tactics, as well as straightforward stat boosting abilities and control strategies.
Hadrian features powerful defensive tactics, Cooldown Meter manipulation, and overall balanced stats. His robot engineering skills manifest with the unique ability to permanently gain extra mobility and abilities by removing cards from the game.
Noriko can dynamically alter, enhance, and extend her attacks, allowing for a very adaptive approach to combat. Amongst other high risk abilities that allow for very aggressive strategies and comebacks, she can also sacrifice her robot's Armor to gain resources.
Takashi's constant combat playstyle allows you to stay in your opponent's face, with very reactive stats, and tactics that reward you for taking damage. His deck also strongly focuses on boosting damage and die rolls.

Our funding breakdown couldn't be simpler—76% of the project's $45,000 goal will go towards manufacturing with the fabulous Bang Wee games, 14% pays for shipping from their factory to delivery hubs, and 10% covers Kickstarter's fees.
Stretchgoal funding features the same breakdown, except for the addition of paying artists for the "Unique Art For Every Card" and "Giga-Robo Original Soundtrack" tiers, as well as ordering from the stupendous Legion Premium Supplies for the "Kickstarter Exclusive Card Sleeves" stretchgoal.
Risks and challenges
MANUFACTURING: This is our 1st Kickstarter, but we've done exhaustive research into every aspect of manufacturing, shipping, fulfillment, pricing, and distribution, as well as receiving the advice of industry veterans, so that we wont have surprises ahead of us. We've studied Kickstarter campaigns that have succeeded, as well as those that haven't, and we've read through Jamey Stegmaier's Kickstarter Lessons blog so many times our brains exploded. We've been in constant communication with Bang Wee games (our manufacturer) since February of this year, and have gone over every detail of the manufacturing repeatedly. While we have firm quotes from Bang Wee as well as our shipping partners, we're fully prepared to cover any and all additional costs that the manufacturing may incur.
TIMELINE:The biggest challenge to our timeline will be the creation of unique art per card (if we reach that stretchgoal.) While we've set our delivery date to reflect this, the process of revisions, and the sheer volume involved, could potentially affect it.
DELIVERY: If your copy of Giga-Robo is lost or damaged in the mail, we will send a replacement.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
