How Does It Work?
TouchPoints are non-invasive neuroscientific wearable devices that are worn on both arms or put in pockets, socks, or in tank top straps. TouchPoint has shown to not only alleviate stress and anxiety, but also to
improve focus, reduce cravings, improve performance, manage anger, reduce sensory overload, and enable better sleep.
To use TouchPoint, simply put them on both wrists or in a
more discrete location such as socks, pockets, or tank top straps. One TouchPoint should be on the left side of the body, and one on the right. Using the app, turn the TouchPoint on and use either a pre-setting or create a customized setting. Use the TouchPoint for as little as 1 minute or as long as all
day depending on your goals.
What’s Wrong With
It's not uncommon to hear people talk about enjoying the
butterfly feeling in their stomach before a presentation or be adamant in the need for the fight,
flight, or freeze (F3) response. Stress is labeled as a “necessary evil” and an
acceptable part of our daily lives.
in reality, the exact opposite has been suggested to be the case. In fact,
80-90% of all disease is linked to stress. Below are just some of many

and alternative ways to override the F3 response.

The image below depicts the brain of a 38 year old male CEO with gifted intellect. The left image shows the amount of excess beta activity in the brain. The right image shows the same brain after using 1 minute of the TouchPoint with BLAST technology (bilateral alternating stimulation administered tactile). This immediate and significant reduction in excess beta activity was associated with the CEOs report that he felt more focused and able to problem solve after TouchPoint was activated for 30 seconds. Optimal beta activity is associated with focus, possible memory enhancement, and the ability to problem solve without interference from anxiety.

Current Production Status
Over the past year, BLAST technology has been submitted for
patent. We have completed 3 iterations of prototypes, developed several
versions of the app, and produced a small number of prototypes for beta testing.
Once our Kickstarter is fully funded we will be able to integrate the few
remaining UX items into our app and be ready to go to market!
Do you Suffer From Lack of Focus?
No matter how hard we
try to tune out distractions, we just can't seem to escape them. The
average worker is distracted once every three minutes! We often attribute these
distractions to increased technology in the workplace such as cell phones and email notifications. Studies show the number one distraction facing us today are actually internal mental
distractions, with the average mental distraction lasting about 27 seconds.
Every three minutes you're losing about 27 seconds to your own mental noise, that's 9 minutes every hour. Using the TouchPoint in the Focus pre-setting, you could recapture over 2 hours of lost time.
Do You Suffer From Insomnia or Have Difficulty Sleeping?
We know that sleep is a critical part of being healthy. Without
sleep out physical and mental state deteriorates. Today, over 20% of Americans
state they get 6 hours of sleep or fewer per night. According to the CDC, An estimated 50-70 million US adults have sleep or wakefulness
disorder. With TouchPoint, we have renewed hope for a cost-effective solution to our sleep epidemic. Using the TouchPoint Sleep setting could help millions of Americans not only get

Do you Struggle with Cravings or Addiction?
6.6 percent of the American population (17.3 million Americans) suffer from drug addictions. Many millions more suffer from undiagnosed addictions such as gambling and binge eating. While the TouchPoint is not a standalone cure for addictions, the Craving setting provides relief from emotionally based addictive behaviors and can assist in conjunction with traditional rehabilitation therapy.
About the Founders
Neuropsychologist Dr. Amy Serin and executive
and child advocate Vicki Mayo founded The Touchpoint Solution in late 2015 with
the mission of bringing relief to the millions of people who suffer from stress
and anxiety. Over the last decade, Dr. Serin’s work in therapy and neuroscience
led to the discovery that a component of successful PTSD treatment could be
used as a stand-alone product for gifted children and executives whose stress
and intensities hamper performance, relaxation, sleep, and their ability to
cope with sensory stimuli. Dr. Serin used quantitative electroencephalogram
data, existing neuroscientific research, and archival data to quantify
significant brain changes after just seconds of use. Dr. Serin recognized
that this method was too powerful a treatment to be confined to doctors' offices due to
its effectiveness and simplicity and partnered with entrepreneur Vicki Mayo to
bring the TouchPoint to the world.
Risks and challenges
We are committed to delivering TouchPoint to our backers. As such, we have taken significant steps to alleviate the risks. We spent several months developing prototypes and building an app. We then had several users in different environments test the TouchPoint and we carefully incorporated their feedback into the finalized product. We spent months cultivating relationships with manufacturers and developers right here in the United States (mostly in Arizona).
Our production requires three main components- plastics, hardware, and an app. Currently, Plastics have been finalized and plastic molds created. Plastics can be shipped with a ten day notice. We have a manufacturer ready to produce the product with a two week lead time. Our app developers have created the app for both Android and iOS platforms and are finalizing UX items that came from user acceptance testing. We expect devices to ship two weeks after the close of our funded Kickstarter.
We understand that unforeseen events happen and we commit to being transparent about the challenges we are facing. However, we feel with our founders' successful track record in neuroscience and entrepreneurial ventures, we will overcome any challenges and deliver on our promises.
