4/24/17 - LIVE DVD STRETCH GOAL #1 - $30,000
Thanks to the generosity of 330 fans, we reached our goal of $20,000 over the weekend. THANK YOU! Now the question we're being asked is, "what is the stretch goal...?"
Stretch goal #1 - If we hit $30,000 before the end of the campaign on May 5th, we will produce a new DVD of previously unreleased live performances from the "Pray Naked" and "Drowning With Land In Sight" era of the band. None of the footage that could end up on this collection was available to us (in part or in whole) when we produced the 77s "DVD" back in 2006. Concerts we are currently auditioning for the project are as follows:
Cornerstone 90
Flevo 90
Cafe Montreal 91
Rock Of Love 91
Cornerstone 92
GMA 93
Ichthus 93
Holland 94
Hope Center 94
If this happens, not all of the shows/footage will make the cut, but this is a short list of contenders. (If you have any footage of the band from the roughly 1990-1994 era and would like to contribute, please let us know asap.)
So how do you get the DVD? It's very simple: If we hit $30,000 before the end of the campaign, anyone that has pledged at least $25 (before shipping) will automatically get the DVD as part of their pledge level. If we don't hit $30,000, the DVD doesn't happen.
Thanks for your support - and if we hit $30K, we'll set another stretch goal for $35K....

Drowning With Land In Sight. Pray Naked. Two benchmark albums from a beloved band
that plowed headlong into the 90s with its new lineup of Michael Roe, Mark
Harmon, David Leonhardt and Aaron Smith. It was a difficult mid-period for
the band, both personally and artistically, but the 77s continued to shine
bright and made 2 beloved and classic albums with the lineup.
Last year, the 77s and Lo-Fidelity Records remastered and expanded Pray
Naked, putting it on Vinyl for the very first time in the process. Many of
you were part of that, supporting the Kickstarter and encouraging us along
the way. Now, a year later, the 77s and Lo-Fidelity Records have launched this campaign to reissue Drowning With Land In Sight on
remastered/expanded CD and again for the very first time, Vinyl. We hope you'll join us and make this dream of reissuing the album a reality.
The Drowning With Land In Sight Kickstarter CD/VINYL Reissue Facts:
Why are you doing this with Kickstarter? Why not just reissue the albums "normally"? ~ We get it. Not everyone likes the idea and practice of Kickstarter. But neither the label or the 77s like the idea of amassing large amounts of debt on releases we're not totally sure everyone will want. None of what we're attempting here is inexpensive. So we're using Kickstarter to let fans speak out through their pledges.
Do you know what the bonus tracks will be on the reissue? - Not yet. We're currently going through band archives with Michael Roe to figure out the best material to include. Right now we've found several hours of music, but Michael hasn't made any final decisions yet on what will be included.
Will "Dave's Blues" still be censored? - No. You'll finally get to hear Mike sing "kicked my ass" without all the backward masking nonsense.
Do you know what the T-Shirt will look like? - Yes, we're going to re-create one of the original Drowning tour shirts from 1994/95. The shirt will be available in ladies sizes Small - XL, and Mens sizes Small - 5XL.
Do you know what the vinyl pressings will look like? - We have artist renderings that give an idea of what the vinyl might look like, but they aren't exact...and pressings that feature multiple colors will always be different from record to record. The "mystery" color pressing offered in the upper reward levels will be a surprise...
The Clear (Transparent) Green will look something like this:

The White/Green (A Side/B Side) vinyl will look something like this:

The Splatter (Clear Vinyl with White, Green & Blue splatter) will look something like this:

What/Where is the bonus 7" from that is offered in the "Everything...And Then Some" pledge level? In 2014 we reissued Michael's "More Miserable Than You'll Ever Be" album. Part of that reissue project featured a very limited box set, featuring a 7". We pressed far more than was needed, and now is your chance to get a copy.
How long will it be before I get my order? ~ Great question. Our desired ship date is October of this year. If we meet the goal, and pledges go through in a timely manner so we are quickly paid, we can begin production. Please make sure you are pledging with a valid/non-expired credit card as any delays in Kickstarter collecting pledges results in delays in us getting paid...and sets us back with manufacturing, shipping, etc. Whatever the wait time, we promise it will be worth it.
Let's make this happen...

Risks and challenges
The main "risks" simply relate to manufacturing timelines to meet the October ship date if the campaign is successfully funded. If we meet the goal, and pledges go through in a timely manner so that we are quickly paid, we can begin production and manufacturing. Please make sure you are pledging with a valid/non-expired credit card as any delays in Kickstarter collecting pledges results in delays in us getting paid...and sets us back with manufacturing, shipping, etc.
***Please note: Unless otherwise noted, all domestic vinyl orders are shipped either USPS Media Mail in the USA. All international orders are sent USPS First Class Airmail. We package all vinyl using the heavyweight "Mighty Music Mailer" made by Bags Unlimited to minimize damage to vinyl during shipments. 99% arrive without issue. However, unless your record is lost or destroyed in shipping, Lo-Fidelity Records & The 77s will not be responsible for replacing/exchanging orders that arrive with dinged corners, bent jackets, or other USPS related damage that is out of our control. If you would like to add shipping insurance to any domestic order, please add $5 to your pledge total, and let us know you would like insurance added by sending us a private message so we can note your account. Thank you.***
Thank you!
