Check out the artists!
Cole, a current Massachusetts Cultural Council Fellow in Photography and former 4-H Grand Champion in Gift Wrapping, was introduced to thrift store shopping at an early age and never looked back.
Recent SMFA Traveling Fellow and notorious homosexual, Chamberlin primarily works with porcelain, photography and performance. Look out for his upcoming show, Light My Fire, in January.
DEAD ART STAR is a response to celebrity culture and the ever-present gaze of the camera. It is a project that inspects the formats and structures of performative photography and explores the corporeal (queer) body through performance.
Gamber makes photographs that meld product and process and pull at what the media/medium of photography means.
Glaser uses sculpture and collage to distort visual culture to explore virtual selfhood, fantasy, and reality.
Current Artist in Residence at Dudley Street, Horn’s work spans photography, dance, poetry, and performance, but no matter the medium, her heartfelt work finds the most interesting moments of the everyday.
Li’s work is erudite, without being overly intellectual, and beautiful, without being decorative. As seen in Juxtapoz, Booooooom, Adbusters, Esquire Russia, and all you other favorite publications.
An award winning filmmaker, writer, AND artist, Matuson has it going on! Her striking images are matched by her excellent use of color.
Award-winning social documentary photographer of international renown, Perry-Wood’s series documenting Boston Alliance of Gay Lesbian Transgender Youth is one of the inspirations for Coorain’s artwork.
Reese uses photography to explore intimacy, creating sensitive portraits and images with a large format camera and color film.
Rochell’s straightforward photographs capture that afternoon, denim, Americana, lazyday, simple life sensibility so perfectly that words almost don’t do her justice.
Recent winner of the Foster Prize at the ICA, Boston and a 2016 Brother Thomas Fellow, among like a million other awards- she is definitely an artist to watch.
Taihei makes seriously lush photographs- dark and moody never looked so colorful.
Nabeela does it all, and does it well. Master photographer, performance artist, and creative organizer, everything they touch turns to gold.
Hardcore old school photography, made by a badass motherfucker. Wang's work mixes philosophy, scientific pondering, and all those feelings and physical sensations you have trouble describing.
Risks and challenges
Having coordinated large groups of artists before, as well as print based projects, I anticipate few, if any, obstacles. I will be making every effort to have calendars to you all ASAP and truly don't expect any hiccups.
