DICETINY is a Digital Tabletop Board Game with RPG & Card Collecting elements where Epic Fantasy and Humorous Parodies coexist.
About this project
Update #18 : HAPPY HALLOWEEN! and Gift!!
In DICETINY, you play as one of the four chosen heroes in one to four player co-op mode , using a die to move and cards skills to survive from mean monsters and epic bosses and ultimately slay them to bring peace to the world once again.
The rules are simple. Roll the die when it’s your turn. Move according to the number on the die. A random event will occur. (Monster? Trap? Treasure? Who knows!) Use the cards in your hand wisely according to the situation.
If you said yes to any of those questions, then this game is just for you! Now let's look at the features one by one in more detail.
Level yourself up quickly before the boss appears!
Move by rolling the die. You never know what’s waiting for you on the spot until you step on it!
Even on the same board, you experience different events every time you play! The fun never stops!
Decide which is the best card to use in your hand given the current situation, and press End Turn to end your turn. After that, the next player in line takes a turn. (If the next turn falls onto a monster, get ready to be attacked!)
On each corner, there’s a special structure where you can get help, complete quests, and many other things.
In DICETINY, playing as one of the four classes (after selecting one of the four races), the player has to work together with three other classes (Teamwork is the key to success!) to battle monsters on the board. The key to success will depend on how well you utilize your classes specialty and help the other classes. If you act alone, chances are you will not last long. If all your friends are busy and you have no one else to play the game with, don't worry! You can just jump right into the game and play solo with three AI friends. =)
There are four classes: Warrior, Mage, Cleric, and Rouge. Each class possess different specialties and stats. If you're the Warrior, you can get hit instead of other players. If you're the Mage, use magic to attack. If you're the Cleric, heal other players before they die! Again, knowing your classes specialty and how you can step up and take on the enemy yourself or help the other players will be the key to success.
Each map comes with a uniquely-designed board, unique monsters and bosses, and will require a different approach in terms of gameplay. At the moment, we have two maps currently in development. Sleepy Halloween ruled by the Death Knight, and Middle Board ruled by the Dragon.
Again, each map has different monsters with different patterns, and a unique final boss, so it may be wise to construct your team appropriately.
Our goal is to add more game modes that are unique and exciting,
And your support will allow us to do this!
After each stage, you get a random card drop. By collecting these cards, you can build your card deck. More cards means more skills to use!
How many board games have you seen where you can customize your character? In DICETINY, you can give your character a hat, a dress. Whatever suits your style.
Risks and challenges
Among many challenges we will face in the future, here are the major challenges we have to overcome.
Time: Every day it costs money paying our staff the money to bring foods on the table. In order to ship a beta version of the game in the early 2015 and start making revenue, we need your help.
Marketing: Since we're an indie, we're not marketing experts like EA or Activision. (And being in Korea doesn't help either...) Or course we will do our best to get the word out.
But with your support, we have no doubt that we will be able to overcome these challenges.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to reach out to us! Just drop an email at mike.lee@fakedice.com Why Mike? because he's our go to guy when it comes to English communication... He's also a very good listener too!=)

To launch a KS campaign, you have to be from one of the approved countries (See here for more details: http://goo.gl/XKmTiH), and need a bank account from one of those countries. Our community/marketing manager Mike happens to be Korean Canadian (He lived in Hamilton, Ontario! but currently working in Korea) so since he has a Canadian bank account, we get the pledges in Canadian dollars. Hope that explains! =] And our studio is located in Seoul, South Korea! This is where we work: http://goo.gl/g1rybz

We don't have plan for this at the moment but If the demand is high, we may consider.
-
All pledges with physical rewards include a shipping fee. KS only allowed us to add that "Add shipping fee" option as if it will be shipped from Canada. Since we have to ship the rewards from Korea, we decided to add a shipping fee to the pledges. Good thing about is you don't have to worry about adding a shipping fee later on!
Another reason for that is when we negotiated with the manufacturers of the rewards, we weren't able to get a good discount because of they only give a discount only if you order large quantity.
-
At the moment, we don't accept pledges through PayPal, but once the campaign is over, we will add PayPal option onto the Kickstarter page as well as our homepage, so please mark your calendar and make sure to come back! ^^
-
Absolutely not! Once you pay for the initial fee to buy the game, you get all the content in the game. You can get all the cards in the game by playing the game!
