My name is Robin Haney and I am a Freelance Web Developer and Blogger. I spend most of my time creating free programming tutorials on YouTube and sharing them with the world!
I've also published many different web developing online courses both free and paid on Udemy in an effort to help share web development and teach it to others!
I'm creating this Kickstarter project to help promote and raise funding for my latest course called HTML 5 for beginners.
HTML 5 For Beginners is a beginner friendly introductory to web development course that is aimed at making web development as easy as possible to learn for those who are completely new to programming.
The idea is to create a video course that will take someone who's completely new to web development and teach them the skills to learn how to edit HTML 5 like a pro!
Here is the course outline and what I've got planned so far:
- Introductory To HTML5
- Working With Headline Elements
- Adding Text To a Webpage
- How To Add Comments In HTML5
- New Elements Added in HTML5
- How To Add a Image To a Webpage
- How To Link To Other Pages and Websites
- How To Turn Images Into Links
- Un-ordered Lists
- Ordered Lists
- Adding Text Fields To a Website
- Adding Submit Buttons and Forms To a Website
- Radio Buttons
- Working With Div Elements
- Basic HTML 5 Syntax
- Dividing a Webpage With The Head, Body, and Footer Tags.
I'm looking to raise around $100 which will make the course creation worthwhile as well as increase the quality of production.
I'm thinking about pricing the course around $25-$50 once it is finished however if we raise more than $2000 I will make the course permanently free forever!
I've included a sample video from my YouTube Channel that you can watch below that will show the quality of what I want the course to be like:
Overall I'm pretty excited and want to get this project on the way! If we can reach the $100 fund raising goal then I will know the course will be worth producing :).
After the funding period is over I'm looking to have the course published mid to late November.
Thanks everyone and cheers!
Risks and challenges
Overall there are no risks to this project. All I need in order to get the project going is to reach the funding goal :)Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
