About this project
Dinner in the Beer Garden is my new cookbook about pairing craft beer with plant-based recipes, enjoyed outdoors in gardens and other social spaces. This isn't about traditional biergarten food like ham hocks and bratwurst. It's a cookbook for people who like carrots and kale - as well as butter, fish, cheese and chocolate! Profiles of gorgeous brewery gardens, a chapter on the history and design of beer gardens, and juicy color photographs of recipes turn the book into a tasty read. Recipes are both original and contributed by home cooks and chefs in the craft brewing community.
With your backing, we can design and print the paperback cookbook in targeted quantity. Any extra Kickstarter community support will allow me to offer cooking demonstrations and classes, in addition to the self-published cookbook.
NEW STRETCH GOAL: I plan to offer a metric version of the e-book next year, so have created a new award for backers who want that version! If I can raise additional $2,000, then I can start the metric version's recipe testing and production rapidly.

More than 50 recipe testers in home and professional kitchens across the USA have tested every recipe. Beer pairings, as well as a few cider and cocktail suggestions, make the cookbook even more useful. Risks and challenges
This project is well underway, as I've worked with the printer before. All the photography and recipes are completed, and book design is in progress now. By working with Libby VanderPloeg, a very talented designer, and freelance editors Ben Mims and Sandra Wu, and by printing in North America, I'm confident about the cookbook's quality.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
