Just reading old comments, did you guys come up with instructions on using the programmer with other models? Newbie to all this if I'm referring to things incorrectly.

      Thanks

@Carlton Dodd. Thanks for the feedback. We actually use them for more then just -01 modules so we use the jumper in all 3 positions. Left, Right, and removed depending n out needs, so a 3 position switch would work too. Thanks again for the feedback and glad to see your enjoying the programmer!

I got my programmer some time ago. I've been using it a lot with the many -01 modules I bought some time ago. It works great!
One thing I did change: I replaced the jumper pins with a slide switch about the same size. It makes switching between the two modes super easy.

Allowing international backers from the beginning may have led to a successful campaign. Is it possible to restart it?

      Hi,
I pledge 30$ and added 15$ to cover shipping cost to Belgium

      Bernard

    26. DomCo Electronics, Inc. Creator on June 22, 2016

@Winfried Mayr We can ship Austria for $15 US if you want standard USPS. If you want tracking on the shipping message us and we'll have to get a custom rate with a carrier.

Hi! How much will the shipping costs for the bare PCB be to Austria (Europe)? I will adapt the amount accordingly!

    28. DomCo Electronics, Inc. Creator on June 16, 2016

@Carlton Dodd. It's a nightmare to change things after the kickstarter campaign has launched but what we can do is just double your pledge amount and when we send out the backer survey remind me of why you doubled your pledge and I'll make sure you get double the hardware.

    29. Missing avatar

Carlton Dodd on June 16, 2016

Can you add pledge levels at this point? I'd double my pledge for two units, if there were a two-unit level.

    30. DomCo Electronics, Inc. Creator on June 9, 2016

@Arthur W Pearce Thanks for being a backer! Yes, you can program any ESP8266 module with this programmer. You can also use it as a generic USB-3.3V TTL Serial adapter for a breadboard. If we get enough interest in using it for other modules we can definitely write up some instructions on how to use it with multiple different ESP modules. Once you get your programmer shoot us an email and we'll help you get it working with an ESP-12 model.

that would be great if it can program different ESP8266 series. even if it had different wire instructions.

Does the programmer handle ESP8266-12 modules?

    33. DomCo Electronics, Inc. Creator on May 31, 2016

@RXCORE Yes you can use the ESP8266 programmer with a Raspberry Pi we have successfully used it with one in our lab. Simply follow the Pi instructions to update your FTDI. We use apt-get to do that and the follow the instructions to get Arduino installed on your Pi. Once Arduino is up and running you can program on the pi just like any other linux OS. Compiling is a bit slower on the Pi though.

I would like to ask if I can use ESP8266 programmer with a Raspberry pi(Linux) to program ESP8266 ESP-01?
      Thanks

    35. DomCo Electronics, Inc. Creator on May 25, 2016

Thanks MegaDom! We see your using an ESP8266 in your video. Great project you have their as well!

    36. MEGADOM on May 25, 2016

OK, this is a fantastic idea. Programming the ESP manually is a royal pain, so this little device is the perfect compliment, especially if you need to program a fleet of ESPs. And maybe you need to use one with, say, a MegaCube! (o; http://kck.st/1TfwaTl
