This KickStarter video will help launch my gourmet pie and cookie company: The Pie Lady, Inc. Through this video, I hope to raise money to produce a short film to promote my delectable pies and cookies. The short film will be a satirical nod to the perky television spots of the 1950s, shot on location at a New Jersey naval base. I will use the money raised to finance production costs such as film insurance, crew, actors, props, costumes and make-up. I need $2500 to make this film and bake my dream come true! Won’t you help me bring the world the pecan pie and decadent cookies it richly deserves?
Risks and challenges
Pursuing my baking passion is not an easy financial or emotional task.
There are challenges that come with both launching my own business and producing a low budget film. New York City, my company base, is filled with incredible options for treats and desserts. A huge challenge for me is to create and execute a film that stirs interest in my small company and convinces the public that I offer tasty, high quality products that will secure a “sweet” spot in the marketplace.
The key to making this low budget film is finding a talented cast and crew who believe in the creative process and who are interested in donating their time and energy to promote a fantastic product. Working on this film would be an opportunity for new industry talent to partner with an entrepreneur and company of actors who are passionate about film making and passionate about creating an entertaining promotional tool for this up and coming pie and cookie company. Once the crew is found and the film is shot, editing will be the final challenge. It may take some time to get the end product from production to video, but it is an exciting Pie Lady venture that hopefully everyone will enjoy!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
