Magic Bullet is a free, semi-annual comic newspaper in Washington, DC.
MAGIC BULLET is the premier comic newspaper of the Washington, D.C. Situated in the nation's capital, MAGIC BULLET showcases the work of independent and underground cartoonists throughout the DC metro area, giving them an entire page of the newspaper and encouraging them to cut loose, experiment and push their comics as far as they can. MAGIC BULLET is published semi-annually and is completely free. Over four issues, MAGIC BULLET has steadily increased in scope, more than doubling its page count (up to almost 30 pages!) and now being distributed, literally, from coast to coast: it can be found in comic shops and stores in the greater Washington, DC area, as well as stores across the country and into California. It is also distributed at comic conventions such as DC’s Small Press Expo, the Baltimore Comic-Con and many others. In 2011, MAGIC BULLET became part of the holdings of the Library of Congress, as part of the Small Press Expo’s contributions of indie comics.

A great "work in progress" shot of the cover for MAGIC BULLET #5. It's the creation of Anthony Dihle of Fire Studio (http://www.firestudiodc.com/). Here's what Anthony had to say about this image: "obviously, the real destructive action hasn't begun in this scene, and I'm still adding elements such as fleeing people, fires and explosions, and the hapless soldiers."
