I am a photographer of varying ambitions. Most recently, my ambition has been to capture the especially beautiful scenes in my daily encounters in and around Portland, Oregon. I am especially interested in the confluence between built things and grown things, like a rusty old piece of farm equipment being overgrown by tall golden grass and vivid wildflowers. I enjoy considerably the fact that despite our capacity and desire to build things, nature will always be the more tireless builder. That without our constant pruning and maintenance, we will always be overgrown. And so I capture my surroundings in varying stages of this process. Sometimes the balance tips in favor of nature, sometimes in favor of man. I photograph these things and I aim to show them to you in order that you might appreciate their simple beauty. Who knows if you'll see what I see, but I think you'll agree that the scenery is beautiful.

The reason I'm asking for your support is that I am a barista with a background as a college student, This means I've got incredible ambition and limited resources and disposable income. Which is to say that I want to put on a beautiful show of my photography, but I need help financing the prints. I plan on using Plywerk to display my photographs, as it has long seemed like the perfect way to show a timeless photograph. See their work here: www.plywerk.com
