Introducing TranSeat, a revolutionary product that changes the way of transferring disabled person.
For years people have been using wheelchair. However, it was not until it happened on our family member that we started to realize the difficulties in transferring someone onto and out of the wheelchair.
We believe that other than the traditional way (which is rather uncomfortable for the person being carried) and the complicated and costly indoor crane/lift, there have to be a simpler and better solution to our problem.
Over the year, we have encountered many similar cases from our relatives and friends. Thus we dedicated ourselves in finding a solution to it. Over the past six months we make sketches, study materials, carry out experiments, and make prototypes.
And after several successful prototypes, we are finally getting ready for manufacturing. We are very excited to bring this product to Kickstarter so that we can all share it to our loved ones who need it. We hope you find this product useful and share it to the people around you who need it.
When it comes to moving a physically disabled person, safety is our first priority. It is the absolute most important thing to us. We wanted something that is strong, something that doesn’t break easily even after multiple uses, and yet remains cool after long hour of sitting (which is important because people are likely to be sitting on it for a number of hours).
The body of TranSeat is made with 3D mesh fabric which allows superior air ventilation. And in order to support maximum body weight, we specially design TranSeat handle in one piece using strong webbing fabric. This will allow far greater support compared to the conventional handle (which is sewed separately on each corner). TranSeat has been tested and proven by government bodies that it can easily support up to 120kg (265 lbs) of body weight.
TranSeat is really easy to use with no complicated skills! For instance, you only need 3 simple steps to transfer a person between bed and wheelchair.
As with most of the other design products on Kickstarter, there is a considerable upfront payment needed to produce a good product video and most importantly purchase raw materials upfront for production. Another good thing about Kickstarter is that we gain valuable feedback from the community and can also offer the product at a discounted price before launch (because we can cut out the middlemen and pass those margins on to you).

We have completed the design, finalized the materials and produced various prototypes. We also made a small production run to iron out mass production issues. Our manufacturer is already lined up and ready to go, and we have been working with them for almost a year on making TranSeat robust and safe.
Currently the only remaining items are the final packaging. We don't anticipate any problems but will remain diligent in keeping things on time and up to specification. We are confident moving forward if this project is successfully funded.
