Raw Materials Arriving

We are currently ordering and receiving shipments of raw materials. So far, we have secured all the acrylic we need to fulfill the Galaxy Edition orders. We're currently working out a deal for the most popular wood style, Cocobolo. The other woods are available in large quantities so we do not foresee any supply problems.

Mass Fabrication Development

We have been spending most of our time developing mass fabrication processes to achieve a production rate of 1,000 - 1,500 pairs a month. The fabrication process for the wood Switchblades is essentially complete and we just need to optimize the feed rate and toolpaths to reduce some time wastage.

The fabrication process for the acrylic Switchblades still needs a few more days of work. The production speed needs to be increased by 2-3x faster than what we currently have. However, the work holding is very good and we are getting a good surface finish.

There are two other production jigs that need to be developed, the jig to glue up large wood boards for the Trimmed Hardwood style, and the jig for mass beveling and tab removal of machined Switchblades. We are still on schedule to begin mass production at the beginning of February and begin delivery in March.

March is still the goal but the aluminum pairs will be shipped near the end of March

Awesome to see all the updates. Can we assume March is still the delivery goal for all backers or are some materials taking longer than others?

Amazing! Guys, let's go - super excited for this. I am travelling quite a lot via airplane and carrying my Switch with me is essential. This will enhance my experience 100%

Love the stream of updates with details, please keep them coming!

After getting burnt by a few KS last year, I was very hesitant to go in again, but it looks good so far!
