A simulation game of the Battle of the Bulge by John Butterfield, published by Shenandoah Studio coming to the iPad! Read more
This project was successfully funded on May 28, 2012.
We just finished development sprint six and we added lots of capabilities to the game: armor can now exploit move after a successful attack, reinforcements are arriving, you can undo a move (as mentioned in detail in our last update), the combat animations are really dramatic now (especially with sound turned on), supply tracing is complete, the Daily Briefing is about half complete and looks really great.
Add it all up and you can now play the game!
In sprint seven we are adding many of the special rules, such as the effects of reaching the Meuse River (the Germans gain victory points but the Brits can attack!), replacements, Germans exiting the map (on their way to Antwerp and probable victory), German commandos, and victory conditions. At the end of this sprint the game will be playable end to end and Alpha testing can begin.
We have demonstrated the game to quite a few people at this point and the reactions have all been positive, with the most common question being, "when can I play it?" Answer: soon! We will begin getting Alpha testing underway in the first week of August.
