Plot:
Burnt has a problem. His roommate Randy, an uptight Born-Again, has just found his stash and is calling the cops. What's a just-trying-to-make-tuition drug dealer to do? When Randy's little sister Gwen arrives, Burnt is forced to either bury the truth or bury himself in this vicious rush of almost-romance.
Our Production:
The Working Theatre, a new theatre company created by recent graduates of the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television, is incredibly excited to announce the World Premiere of The Lights Are Off at the 2012 Hollywood Fringe Festival this June.
Focused on creating new work and adapting theatre to the modern audience, we've hit the ground running with an original story for the stage written by Matt Soson. With a stellar cast of young actors and a fantastic group of people designing and producing, this production has the possibility of being something really amazing.
We've invested a considerable amount of time and money into the project already, and now we need help from YOU in order to raise enough funds to successfully mount the show.
Your contribution will go towards:
Renting the venue
Renting the rehearsal space
Costumes
Props
Renting stage lights
Materials and tools for building the set
Creating programs
Marketing materials to promote the show
