Once Upon a Time...

Through Lilly's eyes, the world is a dark but beautiful place, where she and her sister, Rosalyn, live happily in the heart of a deep forest. In reality, however, each day is a battle for Rosalyn, who has been forced to take up prostitution in order to provide for herself and her delusional sister and simply pay the rent for their inner-city, tenement apartment.

An odd twist of fate brings an unlikely ally into their lives, in the form of a local drug addict. Together, they form a plot against a vicious crime boss; a plan that will either lead to their salvation or their doom.

Based on the Brothers Grimm fairy tale Snow-White and Rose-Red, Rose White pits dark reality against an even darker fantasy, in a world where there are no happy endings.

Help bring a fairy tale to life....

This is an extremely ambitious project for an independent film and we need as much support as possible. We are creating a fantasy world out of a North Side Chicago apartment, attempting Hollywood quality makeup on an indie budget, and seeking visual effects that normally cost millions of dollars. In addition, we have a cast of actors with television and film credits that would normally earn them paychecks in the thousands...but they are working on this project because they, like every member of this crew, believe in its potential.

Anything and everything you can give would be dearly appreciated by the cast and crew. Your donation will make you a part of the team that is doing everything in their power to make this one of the best independent fantasy films to hit the festival circuit in recent years.

Happily Ever After....

Rose White was written and developed in June 2010. The short film is currently in pre-production and plans on being released in Fall 2011 to various film festivals. It will be shot on the Canon 1D.

Chicago actress Erin Breen (Playboy), Jeff Award winning actor Daniel Kuhlman, popular genre actress Deneen Melody (Slices of Life, Western X), and character actor Tom Lodewyck (The Penny, Cut) are all attached to the project.

We are also working in association with TinyCore Pictures, the talented team behind the horror anthology, 3 Slices of Life.

Fae-Pop musician, Helen Trevillion, will be providing music for the film.

Promotional photography will be done by Jessi Tetzloff: http://jessitetzloffphotography.com

Thank You....
