Have you posted anything on http://www.reddit.com/r/climbing or other online climbing communities about this kickstarter?

I don't see anything on your site about estimated price for the bands. I know that's a hard to say now, but I think it's important to say what you're aiming for, because people are more likely to fund a project they could eventually afford.

Also, as far as the pledge levels go, I wish there was one that was simply a "pre-order". I'm less interested in a shirt than I am just handing over a chunk of money now that will toward a set of bands when they are produced. Right now it sounds like £120 buys me a guarantee of getting a blue one, but it doesn't actually offset the price of the bands themselves. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding?

In any case, good luck guys! I hope this succeeds.

+1 for advertising better - not a single climber I know knew about this until I told them

This is a fantastic idea, I really hope you manage to find the backers to get the funding you need. Posters as mentioned below is probably a good idea, I'd happily ask to get one put up at my local wall.

      Toby is absolutely right there.
      Might I offer some suggestion:
      - Design a poster and make a link here on the page. I guess at least one third of your backers are eager to put it on the black board at their local climbing gym.
      - Post some adds on climbing webpages and give interviews.
      - Buy google ads (yes, costs money, but your target audience is well defined, so costs shouldn't be too high - just use keywords like "climbing, improvement, coaching, monitoring" and the like.

Really hope this campaign manages to succeed!

Almost none of my climber friends or fellow climbers at my local gym have heard of this project but I'm sure they'd be interested in supporting it.
Might I suggest that getting some posters to raise awareness at climbing gyms might help. Anything to help spread the word, digital is still only half the battle.

      Hi Aaron
It's under advice from our accountants. In the UK we are liable for 20% VAT. We have to pass on VAT to revenue and customs on goods we sell. Unfortunately even though Kickstarter pledges are "donations" because we solicit for them, they are subject to taxing. It totally sucks I know - believe me, we are NOT benefitting from this postage!
      Thanks for the support
      Cas

Hey the project looks exciting! But what's with the £40 for shipping for the top backer level? That seems excessive for shipping, especially since the lower levels are "only" £24... What gives?
