This is a short 10 day pre-sale campaign with very limited edition items that will surely sell out. One word of advice - make your purchase today before someone else scoops up your super sweet titanium bike tubing usb drive with a 4K Ultra High Definition version of the film - oh yes, read on...
The World Premiere for ‘Inspired to Ride’ is set for April 11th, 2015 in Denver Colorado and we want you there no matter where you are in the world.
We've created a fun-filled day with lots of cycling goodness and by taking part in this campaign on Kickstarter you're helping make this World Premiere Event possible.
There are two ways you can be a part of this:
- Get to Denver Colorado and sit yourself down in one of only 350 seats.
- Turn on your computer and watch the event via live-streaming.
This gathering of bike-minded people is going to be one hell of a good-time and we want you to be here with us whether you live in South Dakota, South Africa or the South Bronx.
This special day will be an occasion to celebrate ultra-endurance racing, bikepacking and the people who say yes to adventures by bicycle. In addition to premiering a movie, we’ve also invited some of the top names in endurance cycling to present personalized workshops on topics surrounding gear, strategies and tips & tricks hard-earned during wins at races like the Tour Divide, Trans Am, Colorado Trail, 'Iditabike' and more…
We're bringing in Mike Hall from the UK, Juliana Buhring from Italy, the film crew and other athletes who raced the inaugural Trans Am Bike Race and appear in this film.
Mike Hall's accomplishments are incredible: Trans Am 2014 win (spoiler alert), Tour Divide 2013 win, World Cycle 2012 record breaker.
Juliana Buhring's short cycling career is equally inspiring: Trans Am 2014 women's winner and 5th overall, Transcontinental 2013 only woman to attempt and 9th overall, World Cycle 2012 women's world record holder - 18,000 miles in 152 days.
Also invited to present at this World Premiere Event will be Tracey Petervary (Iditabike, Tour Divide), Jefe Branham (Tour Divide, Colorado Trail Race) Neil Beltchenko (Colorado Trail Race), Billy Rice (Tour Divide, Trans Am)
When you buy the signed DVD or any of the items we're offering during this pre-sale campaign, you are really assisting Mike Hall to fly here from the UK, Juliana Burhring from Italy and all the others to make their way to this World Premiere Event. We really appreciate you partnering with us to make this 'festival' a reality!
Heck, if you treat this as an investment, your ROI would be through the roof!! Just think of the money you'll save by hearing all the advice from these athletes about their tried and true gear choices - no more spending your hard earned cash testing out various pieces of equipment that just won't work for you. You'll thank yourself for taking action today...
Have you wished you could ask Jay & Tracey Petervary what gear they trust in freezing temperature on the Iditarod? - now you can. Have you wondered what was going through Juliana Buhring's mind as she embarked on her round-the-world bike race and what it's like to hold the women's record for that 18,000 mile journey? - you should ask her that. Why did Billy Rice decide to 'Yo-Yo' the Tour Divide? - why don't you ask him what the hell a 'Yo-Yo' Race is. How does Mike Hall go so light and so fast for so many days? - I wonder if he'd give you a straight answer...
You'll be able to ask these ultra-endurance legends all the questions you want through your computer when you decide to participate in this World Premiere Event. And if you can get to Denver and hang out with them in person, even better!
If you can't make it to Denver, you can still take part in the Q&A session after the film because you'll receive a link to stream an HD version of the movie and then click back to the event's in-auditorium live-streaming to hear the racers discuss their experinces and the film.
These ultra-endurance athletes have never been in the same room together - until now - this is history in the making... And you are going to be a part of it because you decided to participate in this Kickstarter campaign and Kick-Ass World Premiere Event.

Speaking of big screen, we'll have some information coming soon about how you'll also get to see this film in your local theater. Make sure you are getting our newsletter for all the current news and updates: NEWSLETTER.
You'll notice one of our limited edition items on the right is the 4K version of the film on a hand-made titanium usb hard drive - this is a piece of art unto itself (check out the pictures below). If you have a 4K screen at home you'll get a head-start on everyone and see every minute visual detail of these racers crossing America with its breathtaking sights & sounds in Ultra High Definition.
As part of this campaign we are offering very limited edition and one-of-a-kind items for pre-sale. This is a short 10 day pre-sale campaign and items are sure to sell out fast. This will be the only time we're going to offer some of these items.
Our goal is to ship everything by May 31st, 2015.
A note from the Lee Kinder the artist:
I generally hand shape with Dremel and burs, files and sander to get the basic starting blank for the project I am working on. Draw/transfer the design/logo/ideas directly to the blank and proceed with Dremel and a variety of different sized burs (3/32-1/16) as well as files, hobby blades and such. Each is then textured, sanded and polished with a white/gray compound to get the high gloss finish. When completed I give each a coat of Renaissance Wax as a final finish before/after cording. I use a waxed, multi-strand thread for the cording which is hand braided. Some are finished with a bone toggle and loop and to a fixed length, others are adjustable. Each pendant during wear will take on a patina after time. They can be worn 24/7 if desired bathing, swimming, et cetera... You can get a small container of Renaissance Wax and give it a light coat and buff with a soft white cloth as desired as well.I enjoy the process of creating and hope that the future owners find them pleasing as well.
Thanks again Mike for the opportunity to share my talents with you and your audience!
We really appreciate all the support you've given us over the years with our past films. We wanted to create this Kickstarter campaign as a way to offer our closest friends and supporters some very personalized limited edition items.
These signed bundles and one-of-a-kind items will only be available during this 10 day window. They are sure to sell out so if you would like to own one of these collector items please place your order today. And if you think one of your friends might like to know about this short campaign and want to also get their hands on a signed movie poster from the likes of Mike Hall, Juliana Buring, Billy Rice, Nathan Jones, Adam Guske, Mike Dion, Hunter Weeks, Eddie Clark and other fine human beings, please share this page with them - don't be selfish - I'm sure they would like it framed on their wall too ; ) At the top of this page there is a Share this project button that makes it very easy to spread the love...
Thank you so much - Mike Dion and the 'Inspired to Ride' production team.
It's been an amazing feeling over the years hearing from so many of you that have been moved or inspired by the past films. Thank for for sharing your experiences via Facebook, email or stories in your blogs. My good friend, Norb DeKerchove, was kind enough to create this video sharing his experience. Risks and challenges
One or more of the invited guests may not make it to the event due to unforeseen circumstances.
Live-streaming has inherent challenges depending on internet speed and connectivity at the venue as well as the individual user watching the streaming video. There is a chance your live-stream of the workshops and Q&A may be dropped or interrupted during the event. There is also a chance you may not be able to connect to the stream at all depending on your circumstances with internet connection and viewing device.
However, the streaming of the HD version of the feature film will not be live-streamed. It will be a very stable signal. You will be emailed a link from our digital distribution partner on April 11th, 7:00 pm MTN and have a full 48 hours to watch the film. After 48 hours the link will be de-activated.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
