A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. This gallery features photos, videos, and other visual documentation that will give backers a sense of what’s been accomplished so far and what’s left to do. Though the development process can vary for each project, these are the stages we typically see:
Proof of Concept
Explorations that test ideas and functionality.
Demonstrates the functionality of the final product, but looks different.
Looks like the final product, but is not functional.
Appearance and function match the final product, but is made with different manufacturing methods.
Appearance, function, and manufacturing methods match the final product.
We are the Breaker Bag Company. We are passionately obsessed with making meticulously designed travel bags built to fit any adventure you can dream up.
While the Breaker One is our first bag and this is our first Kickstarter campaign, this is definitely not our first rodeo. Years of design, research, planning, experience and creativity have gone into bringing the Breaker One to market.
Jon Paul, our lead industrial designer, has been iterating over his backpack designs, sampling prototypes (eight, to be exact), making adjustments and doing it all over again in an attempt to create an extremely versatile pack. He’s been plugging away for two years, and we feel he’s hit a design that’s worthy of the market.
Jon Paul teamed up with his dad and his brother to finalize the design, test the prototypes, line up the manufacturer, and last but not least, create a Kickstarter campaign to help launch the Breaker Bag company. Together, with the help from some family and friends, we bring you the Breaker One bag.
Become a backer and help us kick start our company and let the Breaker One bag take you anywhere you want to go — in style, comfort, durability, and organizational perfection.
Available exclusively on Kickstarter, back the project and save up to 55%.

Thanks to our family, friends, and everyone who has helped us throughout this excellent adventure. And thank you to all that have backed this campaign!
We've been working on the Breaker One bag for well over a year. The bag has evolved through a number of prototypes to tighten the design and functionality, and we're pretty stoked with the final result.
The bag design is complete. Hardware is being ordered. The manufacturer is on standby. Shipping and fulfillment are in place. Once it is clear that the bag will fund, we will immediately begin production. We expect the first batch to ship by September 2018.
Of course there are always challenges and potential obstacles that can arise when trying to design, manufacture, and deliver a product to the marketplace. However we are confident that we are addressing all of these potential concerns, and fully expect to deliver a great product, and do it within the expected timeframe.
