About this project
Old stuffs are always fascinating to current generation, especially those who have the freedom to express themselves.
Vintage, Retro, Old School, the 80’, the 90’, Classy, Lovely back then… It is like how some young people love listening to turntable, they will buy one if they can neglect all the technical complication.
Holga Digital is the same Concept with the new generation turntable! Just put the record on and spin the music. We bring the old good toy camera back to present!
We have design 4 different colors to fit all style!
Black, White, Pink and Mixed, there must be one fit your desired (You'll pick when campaign ends)
We designed the Holga Digital for everyone from the first-time Holga user to the photography enthusiast. You’ll be snapping beautiful images in a matter of seconds. You don’t have to fiddling around with shutter speed, aperture, IOS, or white balance. But it gives you the freedom to experience Holga unique image style; different lenses or you can even mount external flashes onto the build in hot shoes.
One thing that made Holga so unique is due to it image quality produced. The Holga Digital is a high-quality glass optic with F2.8 and F8.0 aperture setting to fit different environment and situation. Unlike any other digital camera on the market by producing vivid color and dark corner by firmware, we create our image quality by the optics.
With the new Holga Digital you can use your lens from the old Holga camera and pop them in by using a lens adaptor. This way you can share lens between your analog camera and the new Holga Digital.
We want to design a product that follows the great heritage of the Holga analog family. With no LCD, no extra setting you can enjoy the purity of photography. However, we know you like to share your work at a instant so the new Holga Digital can share photos in just a snap by using a WiFi SD card
The most well recognizable Holga must be the Holga 120N, this analog camera shot 120mm film to create 1:1 ratio square photos. We have embedded this feature into the new Holga digital. Now you can switch between 4:3 or 1:1 ratio photograph without doing any post-editing and share with your friends right the way!
We’re using Hong Kong local plastic and electronics suppliers to produce parts that meet our high-tolerances. The most crucial part—the final assembly—is handled by highly-trained electro-mechanical assembly engineers in Hong Kong. Each unit is thoroughly tested before being packaged and shipped out.
We’re working with all the local designer, engineer, and manufacturer in Hong Kong to create a truly Made in Hong Kong product. Redefine the Hong Kong spirit. The most crucial part—the final assembly—is done right in Hong Kong. Each unit is tested, packaged and shipped right from here
We were inspired by classic Holga camera and wanted to recreate the magical experience of using a Holga with our loved ones. We were also convinced we could enhance this experience by digitalize the original Holga.
The Holga Digital was conceived by our dedicated in-house development and design team; the entire project has been spearheaded by Holga founder Universal Electronics Industries Ltd.

Risks and challenges
We have worked extremely hard over the last few months to deliver a product you will love and we can be proud of.
The Main Challenges Ahead:
Creating Holga Digital requires engineering a complex system. To make sure we get this right, we have assembled an experienced team of engineers and designers. We have already built two generations of prototypes. Currently, we are producing the first batch to test with users.
Taking prototypes to mass production involves sophisticated logistics and relationships with suppliers. To minimize these risks, we have been negotiating with suppliers (including backup suppliers), testing component quality, and building a team that can execute on our promises. Our plans are nearly in place, and we require the resources to ensure we achieve this.
We’ve done our very best to forecast demand and create a solid production plan. We’ve learned a lot from the past, but sometimes forecasts don’t always hit the mark. Should we miss projections, we’ll let you know why and make it right as quickly as possible.
Supply Chain Risk
We’ve built a very capable team who have worked for all our products. However, component delays and unexpected shortages can occur. If this happens, we’ll be sure to keep you informed and work to quickly solve the problem.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
