About this project
For over a decade now, original, creepy stories have been circulating over the Internet. Many of these tales have gone viral, and have been viewed and shared around the web millions of times. They've inspired games, music, art, films, fan-fic, television, and have amassed enormous fandoms all over the world.
Creepypasta is the very first, full-length comic book influenced by these horror stories of the Internet. Our first comic is a full color, 48 page double issue featuring two ORIGINAL tales that will shock and terrify you! These aren't your grandma's horror stories; don't expect to find werewolves or vampires between the pages of this book. The creatures and ghouls of Creepypasta are just as unique as they are frightening. Think of it as a return to the classic, pulp horror comics of the 1950's, but stylized and written for a new generation of fans!
Both stories will be anchored by the mysterious Blueman, an eerie phantom that lives within the deepest, darkest recesses of the net. He will guide readers through two creepy tales full of hideous monsters and homicidal maniacs.
We have worked extremely hard on this project and we're proud of what we've been able to accomplish. It started off as a simple idea and watching it slowly grow into a full-fledged graphic novel has been extremely fun and rewarding. Creepypasta is a book for horror fans, comic book enthusiasts, and anyone who has ever stayed up late, perusing Internet forums and reading spooky stories posted by anonymous users.
Our aim when writing this comic was to NOT just rely on grotesque creatures and gory death scenes. Each tale is a character driven drama. They feature very human protagonists, that must do battle with their own internal demons as well as the nightmares they encounter.
It is not our intention to bring you the schlocky, "B-Horror Movie" equivalent to comic books. We want to tell you tales that are both compelling AND scary while still maintaining that familiar creepy forum post feeling that so many people enjoy.
Our first story features a creature that's inspired a massive fandom around the web. The Rake is a monster that appears to people in the night as a dark and mysterious omen. When the strange entity's presence causes the death of one man's wife, he becomes obsessed with getting payback, but is his quest for vengeance misguided? "He Is..." is a classic tale of revenge with a sinister twist that will send chills through your body!
(We have been given the blessing by Rake creator, Bryan Somerville, to use the character in our new original story).
I Waited Inside Her Closet
Part two of the double-issue is chock-full of original characters and monsters. "I Waited Inside Her Closet" follows the account of a dangerous serial killer and his unhealthy obsession with fame. But there's more than meets the eye in this story. The blood-thirsty psychopath's grisly exploits soon lead him to a terrible truth when he comes face to face with something even more terrifying than himself.
There are tons of fantastic rewards waiting for people who support the Creepypasta comic book on Kickstarter. Backers will receive goodies like, a digital PDF of the comic, original creepy music, wallpaper for their computers, and exclusive behind the scenes content.
Those who support us can also get physical prizes like t-shirts, art prints, POP figures, a new book written by Vincent V. Cava, and of course the comic itself -- available in both softcover and hardcover.
We have some other really interesting prizes for people who want to pledge just a little bit more. Got an idea for a creepy character of your own? We'll have one of our artists draw it (and provide you a print), Vincent V. Cava will write an original story about your character, and MCP will narrate it on his channel for over one million of his fans to hear.
But maybe you fancy yourself a character? Backers who want to be immortalized will have the opportunity to be drawn into the comic where they will come face to face with the Blueman himself!
We also have some "super secret" stretch goals planned for everyone if we manage to hit funding. Each time we reach a goal, a light will go on in the haunted house and the new incentives will be revealed. Backers with a $15 pledge or greater will receive all of the unlocked rewards.
EDIT 6/15: We just hit our first stretch goal! That means everyone who has pledged $15 or more will be receiving an animated motion comic! Now you'll be able to read AND watch the Creepypasta comic.
We've assembled a great team to work on this book, many of whom have built a following writing, narrating, or illustrating horror stories around the web. We've helped to grow these underground fandoms and have been contributing to them for years. Now, we've banded together to collaborate on the Creepypasta comic, our most ambitious project to date.
Vincent V. Cava is an author from the San Francisco Bay Area, now residing in Los Angeles. He has been writing horror for over fifteen years and has published five books in the genre. His original stories have been published and used to promote films for FOX. Inspired by great graphic novels of the past and present, he has teamed up with Mr. Creepy Pasta to bring this new horror comic to life.
Mr. Creepypasta is a narrator and voice actor who has gained well over 1,000,000 subscribers to his YouTube channel. He has been cast to do voice work for anime such as One Piece and has been an invited guest to various conventions around the United States. A leader in many online horror communities, his fandom stretches worldwide.
Chris “Oz” Fulton is a professional mixed media artist, author and tattooer based out of Dallas,TX. He has worked extensively throughout the comic book trading card field, doing the art for card sets like Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel Premier, Red Sonja, Vampirella, Transformers, and others.

Teo Gonzales is a Venezuelan artist who has worked as a colorist for various comic books. He has done art for DC where he was featured on the cover of the DC Universe Online Legends comic book.
This book is a hell of a ride. The characters are fun and interesting. The art is bright and colorful. The stories are intriguing and genuinely frightening. We have fantastic rewards for those that support this project. If you enjoy the Twilight Zone, Tales From The Crypt, The Outer Limits, or you're just a fan of Horror, then there's something in this comic for you!
AND one more thing!
We've set our goal very low. Our artist fees alone for this project will cost us a minimum of $5,000. Add in the price of printing, shipping, and traveling and we will actually be operating at a loss if we just barely hit goal. That's how passionate we are about our project. Please help us make this book and share it with the world.
Risks and challenges
Of course life can sometimes cause delays, but we have taken precautions to ensure that the comic comes out on time. The book has already been written and pencils have been completed. Over half of it has been inked and we've already begun on getting it colored. We have partnered with Backerkit to make sure the shipping and orders run as smoothly as possible. We're leaving nothing to chance!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
