Hey there all you delinquent dolphins-to-be! Remy here, with another update about Classroom Aquatic!

Our intended release date for Classroom Aquatic has been bumped, as it turns out the last 10% of asset creation is taking longer than we anticipated. The remainder of items left on our to-do list pretty much all fall under polish, such as texturing 3D objects, doing our final drafts of the soundtracks, and implementing lighting effects and other technical art. Don’t you worry: just like in school, being late doesn’t matter so long as what you hand in is great!

Again, we apologize for the delay for the release of Classroom Aquatic. This delay is not caused by porting: our goal is to make the game the best it can be on every platform, and we're dedicated to do just that.

In the spirit of the mechanics of the game, we’d thought we’d give you a peek at how the first two are coming along, and then have a mini update later on about the last!

First up, textures! We want the world of Classroom Aquatic to come alive, including the place you’ll be living! This is your bathysphere dorm room!

You could say it could use some tide-ying up? Hahaha! No but seriously this place looks like a typhoon hit it.

The bathysphere dorm room functions as your home away from home, your reverse fishbowl under the sea, during your time abroad in dolphin school!

This reclaimed Cold-War era diving bell is just like you: if it weren’t for cheating, it wouldn’t have passed all it's safety tests!

In game, it functions as your main menu, where you tweak options in the onboard computer, view achievements in your trophy rack, and go through the campaign in your daily planner!

Now that we’ve seen some sweet stuff, why not lend a little listen to one of our latest soundtracks? Our almost-aptly-named sound designer, Eric Cappello, has composed a piece for the Science classroom! Eric’s pieces are composed to capture the theme of the classroom, the teacher, their subject, and how the test is taken. As well, they keep pace with the time to let the player know how long they have left! Check out this snippet of the Science soundtrack, and see what you can interpret from it!

That’s all for now! Until next time, remember that seaweed can easily be mistaken for the tentacles of a man-eating sea monster. That’s because the tentacles of a man-eating sea monster feel just like seaweed!
