I Need Your Help, Kickstarter
Pluck is going to be my first full-featured game and, with your help, I'd like to make it as successful as possible.
It has always been a dream of mine to release my very own game; ever since I was in middle school I remember making a bunch of games for my cousins to play, and oh did they play 'em. Sometimes with gritted teeth.
Now I finally have a chance.
The funds raised here are going to be used to develop a website for the game and for the production of sound effects and music to really bring the game to life.
I'm a high school student and I've been working on Pluck during the majority of my summer vacation. I'm a one-man team and I've been programming the game and making all the graphics. The exact release date is to be announced, but I will say that I plan on releasing Pluck this year.
Please note that Pluck is solely for Windows, but a Mac version may come in the future if demand is high enough.
Pluck features a campaign mode in which players will venture through randomly selected levels to pursue their lost love, Bubba.
Three distinct worlds are featured in Pluck: cryptic tombs, incandescent caves, and the hell-like world of Nin.
After every three levels, you battle a boss. There are 3 bosses planned per world and there are 3 worlds. Once your third boss is defeated, thus completing the third world, you must then come face to face with the final boss.
Randomized Level Selection
Levels are chosen randomly from a pool of pre-made levels. There are over 3 billion possible path combinations to beat the game, thus far!
This means that you could play the game over and over again, and you'll end up completing different levels!
In each of the worlds, players will venture through a small, medium, and large level. Once the large level is complete, the player is taken to a boss room. There are a variety of bosses in the game and they're randomly chosen, too; that means every time you play the game, you'll get to defeat different bosses! Here are the names of a few of the bosses: The Witch, Dex, King Gush, The Eye of Judgement, and Baby Ben.
Survival mode places the player in the middle of an all-out assault against the sacred children of Pluck. Players must vanquish waves of foes while defending the dancing youth.
Plans for the Future
After release, I plan on periodically adding additional levels, enemies, bosses, and features to keep the game fresh and exciting. If you pledge $100 or more, you'll have the opportunity to help me come up with ideas for Pluck!
