Have a question?
We are launching on Apple devices to start, but have plans to release on Android devices as time and resources permit.

Man, I've been waiting for this game for sooo long I forgot it was only on iPhone, and have just switched to Samsung. Is there any plan to make an android version if the apple one is successful?
We were pretty terrible at predicting the timeline on this project—we own up to that and apologize. The iterative process we’re using doesn’t lend itself to well-defined schedules—despite Kickstarter requiring it. We’re trying to get the game right, as opposed to complete by a certain date.
As you point out, we can improve our update frequency though—and we will work to be more communicative about what's going on with the project. We have been working on Losswords steadily, and we remain fully committed to making it great. We're also writing an update this week with more details about the current state of the game.
Your comments are well-taken—and we thank you for supporting the development of Losswords,

Original guess on delivery 11 months ago (jan17)
Second guess on delivery 8 months ago (early spring)
And still no real clue as to what a couple of months to go means
Update 19 (several months) 9 months ago
Update 20 (few months) 7 months ago
Update 21 (reaching out in coming months) 5 months ago
Update 22 (good news we are doing another Kickstarter but that won’t effect you and beta coming soon) 3 months ago
Anyway my question is when will this be delivered and why won’t you give us an actual timeline?
Not yet—we're getting closer though. We have spent more time than we thought getting the gameplay tuned—but we think we're there now. One more playtest is happening this month, and we will be moving into final production and opening up the beta to our backers at the playtester level. So we hope to have an update on that playtest soon!
Thanks for your patience,

Has this been released yet?
It's been about 2 months since the last update. Any info is appreciated.
Can we get an update???
I'm @ Curator level - how do I go about suggesting books for inclusion? (I know you want me to use Proj. Gutenberg, but how should I send suggestions to you all?) Also, I upgraded from the Playtester Level to the Curator level - does that mean I lost the opportunity to be a play-tester? Cuz that's sad to me. :-) Thanks for putting such a great game concept together!
Same as Carol, as an Android user ! But even knowing I won’t be able to play, the game sounded too fun to not back it :)
Congrats on making your funding goal...but I am sad that we won't be getting the Android version. This means I won't be able to play - but please do keep my name on your mailing list for future possible Android games. Keep on playing!
As a Curator-level backer, I'd be very happy to help increase the diversity of the library.
Hi Sarah, thanks for bringing this up, we totally agree. We are definitely attentive to the diversity of the authors whose works will be used in the game. The curators's selections we are showing are a small percentage of the works we plan to include. If you check out some of the authors in the video and our other images, you'll see more gender parity, though, to be fair, there is still work to be done to include increase the number of works by people of color.
One of the limiting factors for us is working with literature in the public domain, or that have been released under copyleft licenses. We are still in the process of building out the initial library of books that will be included in the game. As we continue this, we will continue to work for gender and race parity in our game.
Also: thanks for backing us, much appreciated.
Looks very cool! I'm a little worried though that of the curated books currently displayed, only 10% of them are by women authors and only one is by a POC. I think given the vast quantity of amazing books out there even if you limit it to those considered "classics" that you can do better than that. Please consider it as you refine your book list.
Victoria, we plan to run the private beta for the PLAYTESTER tier by the end of 2016.
Adriaan, our plan is to "gift" the game. (For those unfamiliar with the vagaries of Apple App Store policies, this means Local No. 12 will buy a copy of the game for each backer that gets the game as part of their reward tier.) The gifting plan is based on how things work with Apple now, and could change between now and fulfillment based on changes to Apple's policies.
How do you plan to give backers the game? Gifting? Testflight? Through an enterprise account?
Do you know a rough ETA on when the game will be available for the private beta?
