August 11 Update

Hey everyone, Ryan here with this week’s update.  

I’m excited to once again report that we remain on track with our current shipping schedule. Our goal was to ship 7,000 units last week, and we sent 7,166 units.  

The rest of the schedule remains the same per our last update. About 7,500 units are in the process of being shipped from our fulfillment center and will continue to ship throughout the remainder of this week. If you are in this batch, you should receive a tracking email no later than Tuesday. This is the schedule for those that backed or ordered before April 1, 2018:  

Week of June 18 - 211 units shipped  

Week of June 25 - 338 units shipped  

Week of June 16 - 578 units shipped  

Week of July 23 - 4,098 units shipped  

Week of July 30 - 7,166 units shipped  

Week of August 6 - 7,500 units - Kickstarter complete; Indiegogo complete  

Week of August 13 - 7,500 units - WithArsenal.com orders  

Week of August 20 - 7,500 units  

Week of August 27 - all remaining pre-orders from prior to 4/1/18  

On the software side, we have a new release queued up for early next week. We will be submitting it to the app stores after we complete testing over the weekend and into Monday. The release should be available 1-2 days later (after it’s approved by the stores). The new release will include the Wifi Direct solution for Android phones. Wifi Direct allows you be connected to more than one wifi network at once and will greatly improve the ease/success of connectivity on Android phones. Sony users will also see big improvements in many areas, including improvements to connection workflow, stability, general speed, speed during exposure bracketing (on USB Sony cameras), and improvements to handheld mode on Sony cameras. We also have a variety of mobile app stability improvements, fixes to multi/whole scene focus, and various other improvements. We will post the release notes on our website when the app is approved and available in the stores.  

We continue to be very focused on customer support, particularly technical support. If you experience an issue while working with your Arsenal, please write our support team (help@witharsenal.com) and we’ll do everything we can to solve, work around, or escalate the issue to get it fixed. The more feedback we get, the better Arsenal will be, and the faster we will get there. Please remember this doesn’t just have to be challenges you encounter. Continue to recommend improvements or new features so we can share them with the team internally and potentially add them to our features roadmap.

      closing this thread? I still have no Arsenal. the Postal Service says the address is wrong, they are unsure if I will get this item at all. And they tell me they can't really update me any more until SEPT10th!!! In the mean time no at Arsenal answers my emails and I have spent hours trying to find out whwere this is in the postal service. AND NO ANSWERS. Good idea, close this thread.

      @Everyone I sent a handful of KS messages tonight, and I saw a number of you already being helped by support. If you didn't get a message from me, it means your reward has already shipped and you should have a tracking email. Look for an email from no-reply@witharsenal.com, and check your Spam/Promotions/Update/other folders.

      Got mine, but when I press 'Get Started' on the phone app I get "Please enable Location Permission" with a turn on button that does not seem to work. I am using a android based photo.

      Also pressing the power button and even holding down the power button doesn't seem to turn the thing off at all.

      Mine has been stuck in NJ all week. Not really concerned because I'm hoping to see more bugs squashed in the interim, but it's kind of annoying that it's just hanging out at the Shore.

      I got a tracking number via Singapore Post for US transfer, It has reached US but no USPS tracking information. No update on tracking for the last 7 working days. How do i know when it will be received?
      This is my 2nd message on the same issue.

      Backer #10116 in Canada here and I have no unit and no shipping information either.

      Should I be concerned? I've been part of other Kickstarters and realize that shipping can be a bit of a problem and it sucks that the product goes to market and people down the street get the product before I do but I just want to make sure I get a unit in the next few weeks. I filled out the survey way back when and ensured that I filled everything out that was sent my way.

      What do I need to do to help this process along?

      I got mine today. Custom fees of €43 (which was expected). I haven't had much of a chance to play with it yet but what I will say is I too had an issue connecting it to my Rebel T5 and I noticed that there are 2 USB ports and I was using the wrong one. One port is for charging and the other for connectivity.
      The Arsenal should be connected with the blue light facing the rear of the camera and connected using the USB port on the left side of the device. Looking at the unit mounted make sure the text is not upside down or you have it on backwards.
      First impressions and it looks very sluggish on live view but it's early days. I'll be using it on Sunday and report back afterwards

      @David Lacroix which Postal system lost your Arsenal? I am in Canada, I received a message from the Arsenal team that they are having issues with Canada Post and the shipping. Apparently, mine was shipped, but I never received any tracking number notification nothing. So, it is supposed to be on its way to me. Also, they said a number of Arsenals are stalled at the Canada Post shipping warehouse.

      Hi. I've finally receivedy arsenal, but I'm having difficulties in connecting it to the app... Basically every few seconds the app asks me to reconnect to the Wi-Fi, because it can't keep the connection up and running... Moreover the timelapse function doesn't work. I press the shutter button on the app but it doesn't start the sequence... I'm using a Nikon D610 and my phone is an IPhone 8 plus. Please let me know what I can do to fix this... It's a bit frustrating after waiting for soon long for the device to not be able to use it... I've already contacted support, but I thought it was worth it to share also here, as maybe someone is having my same problem!

      Hello!
      This is unacceptable! I still did not got my camera assistant. At the post office they say do not have it in the system, Swiss Post do not answer anymore. On the other hand you did not answer my email.
      I want full refund now.

      Hi Ryan, I’ve written and left messages to your help desk the last 2 days and have yet to receive any response or help. Am having great difficulty connecting the arsenal to my Sony a6000. I followed the instructions in your video released a week ago and it does not work at all. Can you do something about this? At least response right?

      Hi Ryan. Last week I received my first email indicating that within 24 to 48 hours I would be receiving my 2nd email with shipping information. I have also sent 2 emails to your help address but have yet to hear back from your team. I was wondering, was this first email a mistake or is your team that busy at this time. I am trying to figure out when my unit is arriving. Currently we are having a week long international fireworks event happening and I was hopeful to have the unit for at least the last couple of days. Thanks.

      ******** Perhaps a status update would be appropriate at this point? What's the distribution strategy? Are you prioritizing certain parts of the world first? Are you shipping only for some camera models which are known to be working? Are you shipping by alphabetical order? Please keep us in the loop. I certainly can understand that issues may come along the way of executing a logistics plan, but it's horrible for customers if they aren't kept in the loop.

      I was told that my Arsenal was in Canada tied up at customs for the last week and a half. I just entered my tracking number on a Chinese site and it was at the international hub leaving China yesterday.

      Hey Ryan,
      i got the tracking mail that said that the package arrived at der German/Switzerland boarder on 31 July. Now i contactet DHL who told me that my package passed the boarder 3 times (back and forward) and now it stuck in switzerland.
      so there must be a problem between Switzerland(Swiss Post) and Germany(DHL).
      please check if there is a chance to send it again (without a problem)

      Any explanations why my early backing is useless and everybody gets it earlier, even from indiegogo?
