Help fund Tracy Silverman's new CD, "Between the Kiss and the Chaos", featuring the Calder Quartet. Read more
This project was successfully funded on January 24, 2012.
Nobody likes to wait. Especially when they've paid for something. I really get that.
But art takes time.
We are still on schedule. The Calder Quartet is a very busy ensemble. They are currently booking their 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons. And I'm pretty wall-to-wall as well. So finding week for both of us to be available at the same time was not easy. Hopefully everybody knew going into this that the recording dates were set for this July and the CD release is planned for October, but I just wanted to let people know that they haven't been forgotten. Projects like this typically require a pretty long range vision.
So I just wanted to reassure you all that I have not run off to Aruba with the cash. I have been working on composing the music we will record in July and also busy with preparations for some important concerts unrelated to this project.
So I appreciate everyone's patience and just wanted to say thanks again and to let you know that you will eventually get your CD's, your autographed posters and everything else you were promised. And probably some other goodies just for being so patient.
And while you're waiting, tune in online to WQXR or WPLN on May 12 and listen to the live broadcast from Carnegie Hall of the new Terry Riley concerto I will be premiering with the Nashville Symphony.
Many thanks and please stay in touch. Feel free to email anytime. Tracy@TracySilverman.com
