The Stitch-able Travel Notebook is the essential crafty accessory for any globe-trotting adventurer. This unique journal not only allows you to write down all your travel memories, it also lets you record your journeys across this planet with colourful stitches.
Sew, where have you been...?
The beautiful genuine leather cover is printed with a gold map, and is specially perforated so that it is easy to stitch. Simply add crosses to record your trips by land, air and sea.
The notebook evolves as you travel and mark off new destinations.
Whether you add simple crosses or get more creative stitching patterns or text, your notebook will be like no-one else's. Showing your unique travels across the planet.
A travel journal is the most wonderful way to record all the musings, anecdotes and ideas that you have when embarking on a trip or holiday. Fill the pages with tickets, maps, sketches and stories so that you can always look back on the experience.
In this fast-paced technological world, it’s nice to slow down – use your hands, put pen to paper and needle through fabric.
The leather cover is removable so each trip can be stored in a new notebook. Capture years of memories by building up your own travel library.
Extra refill notebooks are available by adding £7 to your pledge (and will continue to be available from Chasing Threads after the campaign) or you can use any other A5 notebook refill - so you can continue to fill new Travel Notebooks for years to come.

If you like the idea, and you’d want to fill your cover with stitches and your pages with memories, then please do pledge or share with your travel loving friends! You can also grab yourself other items from the Chasing Threads collection as a reward, which all adds towards the funding total.
These would make a great Christmas gift, arriving in plenty of time for the festive season. Or, invest in the Globe-trotter Bundle and you would have Christmas sewn up…?!
Though the Stitch Travel Notebook is a new product, I have been selling the other items from the collection for over 18 months and have received some lovely reviews. Here are a few of my favourites...
If you’re got time, I’ll take you allll the way back, because it’s interesting how ideas evolve and can lead somewhere you never expected.
2015 Back at the start of 2015 I went on a road-trip with my boyfriend (let’s call him Foster...) from Las Vegas, across the Joshua Tree desert to LA, then up the coast to San Francisco. It was an awesome trip and pretty special driving through the Mojave desert in our rented Mustang.
For Foster's next birthday I got a little crafty, and stitched the road map that we’d used to navigate the whole way with some colourful thread to mark the route we’d taken. It made a pretty nice gift and he was chuffed since he loves maps. We framed it and it still hangs in our living room.
From there this idea of stitching your travels and using thread to show a journey hugely appealed to me. Paper was fragile so I started looking at alternatives…
2016 The idea for the fabric Cross Stitch Map was born and quirky gift company, Suck UK, where I worked at the time, started to manufacture them. These caught the imagination of many others, being stocked in Urban Outfitters, John Lewis, Uncommon Goods & many more.
2017 I left Suck to start developing my own products and started to experiment with ‘stitchable’ maps in new materials and different products.
I launched Maid In China Ltd (did I mention I like puns), manufacturing ceramic products & homeware, as well as the first batch of passport covers & luggage tags.
2018 The collection of passport covers & luggage tags grew to form a bigger range and it became necessary to give them their own sub-brand. Hello: Chasing Threads.
If you'd like to buy multiples or more than one reward, simply add that extra amount onto your main pledge. For example, for 2 x Early Bird Notebooks, pledge £70. Or for a Luggage Tag and a Notebook pledge £55 in the Notebook reward section.
If anything is unclear, please do send me a message and I can help :)

Risks and challenges
I am confident in providing on-time delivery of high-quality products. Of course when it comes to making new designs there can be slight delays with production, but I have worked this into my timeline and am confident I can fulfill the Stitch Travel Notebooks as marked and in time for Christmas.
The notebook covers will be manufactured by a trusted supplier that I have been working with since launching 2 years ago. After months of sampling, we're both happy with the final iteration, which is signed off and ready for production. I’ve already developed 4 different products with them in 7 different colour options and I regularly visit them to catch up on progress and check quality (and share dim sum). There’s no question of their quality and efficiency and I know that the final product will match the production sample that is shown in the video and images.
The Stitch Passport Covers, Luggage Tags, Travel Wallets & Tote Bags are already complete and ready to ship, so these rewards will be sent out as soon as funding is successfully completed. Please see each individual reward for delivery dates.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
