About this project
Please call or contact me via email at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions you have about this project. Also, please take a look at the brief video I've posted above. Sincere thanks.
Hi… I’m Sony. I’ve been singing ever since I can remember, but I really dug in when I moved to SF and started busking at Ghirardelli Square and Pier 39. Busking opened some doors and eventually I began headlining clubs and festivals throughout the US and Asia.
2013 will mark the 10 year Anniversary of my song, ON A SAN FRANCISCO HIGH, written by Jerry Holland. It is also the year that San Francisco will host America’s Cup.
My plan is to create a NEW world class recording of ON A SAN FRANCISCO HIGH and release it as an iTunes single. With the influx of visitors from all over the world next summer for the America’s Cup races, I’m hoping the new single will be the soundtrack for their trip. I have a terrific new arrangement and I’ll record with some of the finest studio musicians in LA.
My goal is to have the recording ready for my engagement at Yoshi’s this November. I would like to invite audience members to join me on stage to videotape all of us singing along to the new single.
I am using Kickstarter to raise the funds we need for this project. Having fans and friends involved will create some fabulous energy!
On the right side of this page I have listed some cool incentives that come with each level of support… such as ON A SAN FRANCISCO HIGH coffee mugs, 8x10 glossies, signed guitars and posters and a visit to the recording studio.
If our goal is reached, we’ll record as soon as possible with L.A.’s finest and mix the song in the Bay Area with Grammy winning engineer Leslie Ann Jones. This will be an iTunes single only. If we raise extra funds then we may opt to press up some CD singles as well.
With your help we can make ON A SAN FRANCISCO HIGH a song known and loved all over the world!
Thank you for checking out my Kickstarter project.
