Well, take a look!
As you can see, we've now snuck into the top 30. That means we should get Greenlit as soon as Steam announce the next batch of games. Of course I'll keep you all posted.
Looking Back At Week 1
The target for week 1 was 30% funded, as apparently if you can hit 30% by the end of the first week then you have a good chance of hitting your goal. It's looking promising.
We're also down to the last 51 early bird game tiers and there are only 3 'Name The World' tiers left! I didn't expect that one to be quite so popular but I'm really looking forward to working with you guys on your pieces of the world :)
We should expect to see the pace slow down now as there's a lot of new projects that have arrived on Kickstarter that will be grabbing everyone's attention. I'm still hoping to get some big press for the game that should hopefully give us a big boost...
How Do You Get Press?
You pester them, a lot! Or you give them something that's newsworthy. Unfortunately, I don't think that Mable & The Wood is the kind of game that you expect to see featured on the major sites. I'm still working on the demo while recovering from being ill, so I'm hoping that getting that into their hands might help. It should also help with youTubers.
Even though it's not done, I've brought a build with me down to EGX Rezzed. Hopefully I'll get the chance to show it to some people while I'm down here to try to get the excited about the game. I feel like you can get away with bugs more in person because I can just slip into debug mode and fix it for them!
If you're at EGX Rezzed this week by the way, drop me a comment or nudge me on Twitter (I'm @triplevisgames) and we can grab a beer or something! Would be cool to meet some of you guys!
Also, due to being in London until Sunday, I'll be sticking to these kind of update posts for the week while I focus on getting the demo done and trying to get some press for the game. I apologise again that you don't have the demo yet - the illness really hit me at the worst time, so I'm just trying to get back on track!
As always, thank you SO much for your continued support. If you can think of any ways that we can spread the word of Mable & The Wood then please let me know in the comments.
Lastly, I want to recommend another Kickstarter campaign that has just a couple of days left.
One Tower is a Moba with quick, intense battles and configurable minion waves - it looks really cool and I love the idea of shorter rounds because I have zero spare time!
Check it out here:
Thanks again everyone and let me know what you think in the comments!
