In 2012 we sought out to make our first watch. Not knowing much about what Kickstarter was, we went ahead and gave it a try. We used our cell phone for our campaign video and only had 3 prototypes. Fast forward 30 days and we successfully funded our first watch, the SANS-13.
To grow our business to what we are today, we took all of our capital and reinvested years and years over. After five successful Kickstarter campaigns, we have sold tens of thousands of watches, been in numerous TV shows and recently in the new thriller movie with Bruce Willis and Mike Chiklis, 10 Minutes Gone! We are extremely excited to be back here on Kickstarter to commemorate our origin here by offering our newest upgrade to our flagship watch, The Atlantis, dubbed the A2.
We wanted our new project to represent the refinement of what our brand is. We have constructed the Atlantis A2 to the highest degree and upgraded every single part of our flagship Atlantis watch.
We have been testing the new Atlantis A2 for months now and we are very excited to finally bring this watch to life! We have tested this watch in every environment to ensure it performs in all the extremes you may face when the A2 is on your wrist. We are not shy about testing our products and if you have any earlier Atlantis model, you know it will never let you down! Now we are ready to release it to the world. We give you the NEW Atlantis A2.
Built In The USA
We have never offered our craftsmanship and USA built watches at this price! Our team is committed to an extreme level of quality control and craftsmanship, which is why we have always built our watches in the USA. From setting up the movement, dials, hands and to the final assembly of the case, we have no tolerance for imperfection. Since 2012 we have implemented assembly practices that are still done by hand. While machines do most companies work now, we like to feel our work! We truly love being an American watch company. There is a reason why we have had the success we have had, our team has kept it simple and consistent.
Our top priority is to make sure we only use the finest components and materials available. Here’s an overview:
- CASE: 44mm
- Lugs: 22mm
- Movement: Sellita SW-200
- Lume: C3 Super-luminova
- Bezel: Unidirectional
- Water Resistance: 300M
- Strap: Stainless steel
- Crown: 6.5mm screw down
- Crystal: Anti-reflective sapphire
You want lume? We have lume!
The Atlantis A2 uses the best lume available in the industry, Swiss Superluminova! The application on the bezel, dial and hands is uniform and glows VERY bright. The brightness and length of time the lume stays bright is a testiment to its quality. If you have any of our watches, you already know we are serious about lume!
There is a reason why our cases can take a serious beating, we do not "hollow" out the internal parts of our case. We manufacture our cases to keep 100% full structure throughout; meaning the case wall thickness is retained from top to bottom. This type of case constructions allows full protection of the movement from anything your watch may endure. Additionally, our deep channel groove for the case back o-ring provides superior water resistance for 300M!
WE NOW HAVE AUTOMATIC & QUARTZ MOVEMENTS
For the first time ever, we are offering the Atlantis in a quartz version for the Atlantis A2 campaign! Our quartz movement is made by Ronda Swiss, which is used by many top Swiss brands in the industry. We have engineered the quartz version to be the same specs as the automatic version, just a different movement and price point.
Buckle & Bracelet
Just like our case construction, our buckles and metal bracelets are solid throughout, using 316L stainless steel links! If you have owned any of our products in the past, you know we are serious about offering the highest quality watches, and this is why we do not use flat pressed parts that wear over time.
The quality you have come to know and love from us keeps getting better! We are so hyper focused on every part of the new Atlantis A2, that it is addicting! The best part is that the Atlantis A2 comes standard on a metal bracelet. The complexion of the entire watch lends itself to the ultimate feeling of luxury. Our purchasing power in the marketplace has allowed us to offer the Atlantis A2 at an incredible price for both the Quartz and Automatic models!
Wondering why the prototype dial says 200m? We initially made it at 200m, but decided to step it up after testing the initial prototypes! We upgraded the crystal and the case back to make the Atlantis A2 300m Water Resistant now!
We have decided that we would not do a long campaign, as our team is eager to hit the ground running for mass production! This 21 DAY campaign will go fast so do not miss out, especially on the Early Bird pricing.
Well we have pulled another first for us! We have added a quartz version of the Atlantis to the campaign. You can now choose if you want automatic or quartz. Our quartz is made by Ronda Swiss, used by many top Swiss brands. We have engineered the quartz version to be the same as the automatic version, just a different movement.
What would Kickstarter be without a stretch goal!? The Atlantis A2 stretch goal is set at $20,000 and we will unlock a new colors: Hulk Green (automatic or quartz), and PEPSI-BATMAN GMT Quartz! We will allow this watch to be done in a full polish as well as the option of brush or bead blasted if we hit our stretch goal. You will select your final watch variations once our campaign is over and successfully funded during your post-campaign survey.

Risks and challenges
S&B Watches is a small company and therefore we need to be sure we are careful with every move we make. We have a great deal of skin in the game since we are self-funded and rely on our own monetary and sweat equity.
Due to the high-quality materials that we use we are forced to operate in large volume in order to keep our costs down. Furthermore, because of the impending crunch on automatic movements we source our movements factory-direct and also need to hit certain volume numbers. This simply means that we need the assistance of our backers to get us through production.
Because we have been designing, sourcing, and building watches for over 8 years now, and have successfully funded our Sans-13, Atlantis original, Ambush, and Springfield on Kickstarter, we are aware of the intricacies and hurdles that are associated with watch production, and are well-equipped to meet our goals. We have learned from our mistakes, and are constantly adapting to the ever-changing watch market.
