Hi Everybody,

The processor for your postage fees is STRIPE.

You each went to backer kit, put your credit card and postage information into backer kit.

You will therefore, see a charge on your statement from Stripe.

If you dispute your postage fees you will be automatically banned from receiving your rewards as your dispute has caused a penalty.

I'm afraid I have to agree with @Glenn on this one. I was moments away from disputing the charge myself (a month ago) because I couldn't figure out what "BBLTB" was (and it was incorrectly coded as an in-person transaction instead of Internet). The shipping from the beginning was not communicated obviously, and it's been difficult to track what exactly is going on.

@Ed: I am sorry if you think it is not understandable. We've clarified multiple times in this comment thread. If you have not disputed your postage charges as a fraudulent charge on your credit card, this update does not apply to you. Otherwise, you are all good. cheers.

@phrxmd: no there is nothing you have to do. If you have not disputed your postage fees as a fraudulent charge on your card, leaving us with penalties and no funds to send your reward, you are fine. Best.

This update is hardly understandable and is unnecessarily alarming. I’m not even sure if I need to do something or if everything is in order for me. Sounds like some kind of excuse to not deliver the rewards later because of an administrative error on our side.

So is there something I have to do?

@Travis. We searched your name but found no contacts from you in our inbox. You can email us directly at beyondthelittlebluebox@gmail.com. Thank you.

@Damien. Thank you. Just to clarify. No, no additional fees. Stripe is the processor. Evidently (we've just found out) the charge for postage appears as BTLBB in their statement. So no, very sorry for the confusion but we can't delete or edit the update.

      Hi,

just to help me understand this update, are you saying that the postage fee we have already pledged will be changed as a separate fee on our credit card labelled STRIPE, or is this STRIPE thing an additional fee?

      thanks.

I didn't recognize the charge... additionally it was an out of country charge. Once I figured it out, I stopped the fraud claim with my CC company and contacted backer to find out how to pay and you folks blew me off. Now, a month or two later, you're going to delay what could have been fixed quite some time ago? WTF

@Glenn: I'm sorry you are so disappointed. I'm happy to refund your pledge. We do feel we've been quite communicative throughout, and explained the process thoroughly from the beginning: Pledge amount did not include shipping; You'd pay for shipping after the KS was over, and through BackerKit. I am not sure how we could have been more clear. Please email beyondthelittlebluebox@gmail.com and we are happy to remove you as a supporter.

@Achim: If you did not dispute your postage charges as fraudulent on your credit card, this post does not apply to you. I don't see how that is annoying? Stripe is the Processor. I was unaware that the charge was appearing as BTLBB which makes any disputes over fraud (when you each put the information into backerkit) even more perplexing.

@Rod: No, that's the one. I'm getting some disputes on the charges, so I thought I'd clarify who Strip was in case there was any issue. BTLBB, I should hope would not be too much of a stretch for people to extrapolate that it's Beyond The Little Blue Box. You should be good. No, there are no more shipping charges. Just the one.

It says be respectful and considerate, but it's hard to be civil when a project is this thoroughly, completely mismanaged, opaque and inconsiderate. I will never, ever deal with you again and plan to make kickstarter aware of just how much we've been jerked around.

I already saw a charge for $7.00 USD on Feb 2nd with a Merchant Name of BTLBB

Are you saying there's going to be another shipping charge???

Its getting more and more annoying.
My credit card details are added, I created an STRIPE account and NOW? How do I get any step further? I don't want to google next hours.

Didn't you think about that many people DONT know STRIPE or what it is. And now you start to talk about penalties etc. Thanks for this. Everything could be so easy like it was with other kickstarter projects.
