Hey Boy! Press started in 2010. Every comic has been hand-printed, trimmed, stapled and numbered for years. As cool and as DIY as that sounds, we'd like to step up our game a bit and work with printing professionals so we can hand out a better product.
With your support, we will be printing "Herman the Hot Dog #2", a 28+ page comic book featuring everyone's beloved depressed meat product, written and drawn by Haleigh Buck! Also on deck is the first issue of ''Cream City, Maryland", a soon-to-be magazine featuring photos, comics and articles involving the sleazier side of Baltimore city, Maryland. If you've ever been interested in learning about glory holes in the surrounding Baltimore area or glancing at photos of the classiest strip clubs around, this is the magazine for you!
We are using the comic and magazine as the first two official products of Hey Boy! Press! Hopefully, with the money from your donations, we can print off a ton of cool stuff and find better artists and writers to keep it going for years. We are asking for roughly $700 - $800 per book for printing, with anything extra going into the next issue of "Cream City, Maryland" or the production of "Internet Diarrhea #3", a collection of online comics by Haleigh Buck (with some added never-before-seen pages!).
We are super excited about these projects and cannot wait to share them with the world!
Thank you so much for your support and for checking us out! Please spread the word to all your comic-loving friends as well!
Risks and challenges
All of the projects are a work in progress. We are learning something new every day. I don't anticipate any delays. However, stuff does happen. So if there are any printing delays or products not arriving within a reasonable time etc, we will do everything in out power to get it fixed quickly! We will work our butts off ( just like we have done for years!) to ensure that you are happy with the results!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
