Well, here we go!
I've been playing and performing with the ukulele since 1999. Now it's time to make a recording to share the music. I had a lot of fun picking out the tunes and rehearsing them. There's some tin pan alley tunes, some vaudeville arrangements, some newer tunes, and a few parodies. Lots of singing, lots of strums, picks and flourishes. Most importantly, fun.
For a better idea of what were talking about check out this video from a recent appearance on A Prairie Home Companion:
I'm looking for your help to cover the costs of song rights, recording fees, reproduction costs, and all of the little administrative things.
Brendan Albetski (http://www.helltobreakfast.net/art/) is working up some original art for the cover art. He's a great artist and he happens to be my little cousin!
Are you in? Let's make music! It'll be fun - that's no lie!
Risks and challenges
I've begun recording so my hope is to be able to produce the CDs very soon after the fundraising goal is set. My aim is to get rewards out by some point in August.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
