A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. This gallery features photos, videos, and other visual documentation that will give backers a sense of what’s been accomplished so far and what’s left to do. Though the development process can vary for each project, these are the stages we typically see:
Proof of Concept
Explorations that test ideas and functionality.
Demonstrates the functionality of the final product, but looks different.
Looks like the final product, but is not functional.
Appearance and function match the final product, but is made with different manufacturing methods.
Appearance, function, and manufacturing methods match the final product.
HOW IT WORKS:
The AIKA Smart Insole uses Bluetooth technology.
When Bluetooth Classic range is exceeded, you'll receive a notification on your smartphone.
The module then immediately looks to re-sync/pair with your smartphone, until a connection is made.
According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), up to 700 children get abducted every day in the US.
That's why I invented AIKA Smart Insoles for Toddlers.*
*Non-provisional utility and design patents pending.
Have you ever had that terrifying feeling at the park, or the amusement park, or the mall, or just out on the town where you lose track of your kids for just a second?
The AIKA Smart Insoles will eliminate that problem.
EASY TO USE:
It's so easy to use, just sync with your smartphone, place the insole inside your toddler's shoe, and when your toddler escapes the 30M perimeter, you'll get a notification on your smartphone.

Risks and challenges
Other solutions for tracking toddlers involve wearables that are expensive, bulky, easy to remove and difficult to use. We need support from generous backers to launch this great product or risk being displaced by competitors.
As the sole inventor of this product, I do not have big company backing or financing. I'll need generous backers to secure quality tooling and components to overcome financial challenges to ensure the type of product needed to save lives. We can't wait, kids are depending on us!
