Deadfellas Printing Update
I just wanted to update you on the Deadfellas printing. We expected it to be done and have the game ready to ship from our warehouse this week, but our printer has to reprint some cards which will push back the release a couple more weeks.
Here's the story: After we approved the Deadfellas proofs, the printer scheduled our print run and started churning out the game. Naturally, I made sure to get my hands on some of the first copies as soon as possible. When I got them, I discovered a production error and alerted the printer immediately. To their credit, the printer owned up to the problem and is now taking steps to fix the problem--all at their cost.
Let me tell you, there is a world of difference between a good printer and a bad printer. No matter how hard you try, problems are going to come up and errors are going to be made. But a good printer will be just as dedicated to quality as you are and work to make sure your product turns out well. And even though they made a mistake, I'm confident that we're working with a good printer based on how they responded to this issue when I brought it to their attention.
So take it from me, reanimating dead mobsters is not as easy as it sounds. It turns out the process is fraught with peril. And I have to say, I never thought producing Deadfellas would be met with so many problems and delays. But when you are in this situation, the best thing to do is keep slogging ahead and make sure the finished product is worth the wait.
