This is the story of a guy who can't seem to find the right girl no matter how hard he tries. But when he puts on his Google GLASS they lead him to the girl he's been looking for.

This is a short film shot primarily with new Google GLASS. Our writer/director is 1 of only 8,000 people chosen to receive early access to Google GLASS based on his early videography with iPhone and his award winning commercial video work. While GLASS will be the primary video capture tool utilized, giving viewers a unique first person view of the story, additional footage will be shot with a combination of iPhones and Android phones, edited on an iPad. The final project will be completed in HD and submitted to national festivals.

While we don't have exact dates that Google GLASS will be released we will have details and presumably, the actual tech in our hands in the coming weeks at which time we will begin shooting. Funds will be used to offset some technical costs.

Anyone in the Boston area that backs the project is invited to attend filming and may even get a walk-on part. When we're not shooting you can try out Google GLASS, as long as you don't drop them!

For those not able to visit in person, we'll be doing Google hangouts during production.

We'll be posting updates and behind the scenes video and pictures here: http://glass-a-love-story.tumblr.com

Risks and challenges

The first risk is not getting funding, which will hamper production significantly.
The greatest challenge will be to attempt to film a short movie with a technology that only a handful have ever held, never mind try to do what we're doing. However, our director has done a myriad of video projects for companies like GMC, HBO, Reebok, Amazon and many more, and has worked extensively to overcome the limitations of using an iPhone for professional filming.
It has been suggested that there may be issues with using Google Glass for a short movie. I've been assured by my contacts at Google that it shouldn't be a problem. However, if it is, we will continue shooting the story using an iPhone.
