About
What a clinical research conference should be: site-centric, individually focused while catering towards experienced and novice clinical researchers alike, packed with practical and implementable strategies that are proven to produce results, and facilitating networking through arranged "speed dates" at set times. Oh, and we also plan on extending the conference online to carry us through until the next conference so attendees can stay connected with us and each other as well as gain new insights into the industry as they occur in real time.
This is the conference that I always wish existed.
DSCS Sweat Equity & Investments, LLC was established in 2013 by Dan Sfera and Chris Sauber who have owned and operated various clinical research centers since 2005.

Now owning an extensive Site Network, business development and clinical operations consulting firm, a CRA and CRC training academy, as well as a newly formed CRO, we plan on bringing researchers together every year to discuss actionable best practices, provide education, introduce them to key industry leaders, and help them achieve more. On October 4-7 of 2019 we are proud to announce the launch of CliniCon19 in Orlando, FL, and not only can you help us make sure that it happens, but you can also gain some real benefits for yourself or your organization by being one of our earliest supporters! Take a moment to explore our rewards and see if there is anything you would like to receive. We are willing to barter as well so if you don't see something that you would like, just send us a message and we'll see what we can do.

Dan Sfera founded his Youtube Channel, and blog, under the brand of "The Clinical Trials Guru"in 2010 to scratch his own itch. When he became a research site owner in 2005, Dan had been searching the internet for any content he could pertaining to clinical research. Noticing that there weren't many options, he put it in the back of his mind to one day create that content himself because knew that if he was searching for these things then that meant that surely other people were as well. In 2010, he did exactly that. In this video he explains it in about 4 minutes.
Recently, Dan, Chris, and the guys over at Global Event Management, who specialize in managing and setting up Life Sciences conferences, had the idea of launching a yearly conference that would be different from the hundreds of other conferences that already exist.
As 2 operators for over a decade in this industry, we have seen “traditional” conferences attempt to provide solutions for researchers when it comes to sharing knowledge, best practices, networking, and real world practical education. The problem has always been the conference itself prioritizing monetization as opposed to no nonsense practicality and value add as a standalone product and brand.
While we intend to create a self sustaining and profitable conference, we are really creating the conference that we have always wished that we could attend regularly with a focus on delivering immediate return on investment to attendees, exhibitors and sponsors in the form of putting sites, vendors and sponsors together, while also hosting workshops that teach immediate implementable strategies for the various stakeholders.
Now you get the chance to be a part of clinical research history and help us get CliniCon off the ground by backing our cause and getting something for yourself in return as well as reinvesting in your own personal success.
The 25k is what we need to reserve a block of conference rooms, full meals and great snacks for the 4 day event. We are anticipating around 300 attendees and will feature a healthy mix of research sites, study coordinators, physicians, CROs, CRAs, Sponsors, industry vendors, industry thought leaders, and other research professionals. The challenge in putting on this type of an event is in handling the logistics and packing in as much value as we can in the 4 days that we are there. By partnering with one of the most reputable life science conference organizers in the world, we have that part covered. We also are planning on making this the most high tech conference ever created, with live streams, integrated social media content and hashtags, as well as creating content from the attendee and exhibitor interviews that our hosts will conduct and publish online.
Risks and challenges
The risk is that we do not get the funding from Kickstarter and we would essentially plan CliniCon for 2020. If that were to be the case however, all of these perks would be gone as we would likely self fund, so take advantage of these killer perks and huge discounts!
